Has anyone been up and seen Cochran falls? I made it to the base last weekend in the jeep but didn't walk up the trail to the falls. How far is it from the end of the jeep trail to the top of the falls?

Man, I just went up there. Its a long trailupthe entire mountain. Very difficult. Very treacherous. Very worth it.

I went up today, something is going on: the road is closed, boulders, trees, and dirt piles all along the road up to the base of the falls. I don't know what happened but it seems like they don't want people up there anymore

Do you have the coordinates for the falls or the road to it so that I can put it in my GPS?

I tried to go. Took the car as far as I could, then I went on foot. I never made it of course, but alot was due to the massive puddles. The Road was too wet with puddles at least 6 ft deep. That was last spring or so. Haven't tried since so I can't say about the road.
From what I hear it's dangerous near the falls due to the terrain....

The road has been purposely blocked by trees and boulders just past the 2nd ford in the creek, and the mud pits have been trenched and drained. There aren't any "no trespassing" signs, so in spite of the obvious moves to block vehicle traffic, hiking is still presumably OK.

I was just up there yesterday. The mud was not bad, after two creeks I came to the third one and it was blocked and a post was stuck in the sand with warnings about no motorized vehicles. I was in the Subaru and probably had gone as far in it as was pheasable. I found that I was still a good two miles from the falls and easily the hard part was ahead. Ran out of daylight so did not pursue it now. Be back with the moto bike and check out how much further I might dare go on it. Doesn't look like a good moto trail at all but hikers who like going straight up for a mile might. Over my limit for punishment so I will not do this one probably.
