I wonder what the deal is with her? Poisson's father says she is trouble, that his son's behavior has changed since dating her.

I don't know, 7-10 years is a long time for this. To me, it seems like a prank gone very, very wrong. I just don't know, there has to be another way to teach this kid a lesson other then throwing him in a jail with murders, bank robbers, and sex offenders. Punishment should fit the crime...murder wasn't the crime. That was an accident (result) to his immature actions. What is this Jerica's whole name? She should serve time too. It seems to me, that she has skated out of all charges. Why? She was there, why isn't he giving her some of the blame? Why is she letting him take the fall? Both incidents, involved her, and he is taking the rap. He needs to speak up, he wasn't alone.

What does a 21 year old female want with a 19 year old biy anyways. Let's be real here, if she is into the drinking, drugs and wild lifestyle, then bars and clubs are right up her ally. He can't get into those, even with a fake, she is still chancing the fact that he might get turned away at the door, and that my friend is a party bomber when you have to leave your friends because your boyfriend isn't old enough. So, in my opinion, Aaron was being used. She needed him to do her dirty work, give her the rush but also be the fall boy. Again, charges need to be filed. She was in the car, she knew what had happened and she needed to speak up before the STL police went on a rampage to find them hiding out in a hotel room downtown. Something isn't right here. Also, I really don't believe jail time is right in this case nor a slap on the wrist. BUT a severe enough punishment to serve the purpose and hopefully, after all of this, he can tell Miss Jerica get lost.

aaron michael poisson was one of my best friends.
i would never think he'd do anything like this. yeah, he was into drugs and shit, all his friends were into that stuff. i wasn't of course so he always came to me whan he wanted to quit and start fresh. it was hard for him. but he tried so hard to please everyone. from the day he moved here from cali he was a , generous...but then he got involved with the wrong crowd and his new "friends" turned him into something he didn't want to become. he tried to quit everything, but kept getting sucked back in. cause when that's all your around all the time, it's hard to stop. i blame all his problems on his associations. especially myles and jerica. AARON REALLY IS AN AMAZING GUY, he was just at the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong people. i feel so bad for him. |

Did his parents know or try to help him? It is a shame what has happened. I feel sad for both parties in this matter. Mr. Kretz was in the wrong place at the wrong time and being kind hearted did something anyone with a big heart would have done, and unfortunatly, life took and unexpected turn. This incident has claimed the lives of several people, not just the one died. What I am really interested in is the story behind the girlfriend... I want to figure out her role in this mess.

I love how all of these stories have people interjecting - "Oh he was a great guy" "NO REALLY HE WAS A REALLY CARING INDIVIDUAL"
"He just got involved" "He went down a path that he didnt mean to........blah blah blah blha" Look. The guy fucked up. A lot of people make decisions they later regret. He's not a great guy. He's a moron in a long list of focken moron's who is going to start a new life behind bars. He'll catch a case because someone in prison made him go down a "path that he didnt want to and......." yada yada yada. Punks all around Fuck it. Let the system chew on them for a little bit. Someone died trying to stop them in the middle of a crime. Thats never going to be focken looked down on. Period. Regardless of wether the guy shouldnt have should have. |

imma have to agree with Fate. Aaron doesn't deserve 10-12 years for this. I believe he should lose his life for taking one.

I disagree with the comment "I believe he should lose his life for taking one." Think about it, what would you do if this was your kid. He did something stupid (I won't disagree with that) irrational, and very immature. His actions defaulted into accidently taking a life but who are we to say he needs his life taken. Review the facts, Mr. Kreutz tried to be heroic chasing a 19 yr old into a parking lot, opening his car door, and without thought. Aaron, out of pure fear and misjudgment, gunned the car and took off. Mr. Kreutz fell and hit his head causing his death. Two things took place that created a cause and effect ripple. First, Mr. Kreutz, 52 yr old, chased a 19 yr, who was emerged in a car (also considered a deadly weapon) common sense for an immature boy would be get scared and to take off. Common sense for a mature adult wold be do the right thing, but is the right thing to physically try to retain a tip jar by himself. He placed himself in direct danger, not to save a life but to save $5.20. Man vs 19 yr. & car. What should have happened in this unfortunated accident, Mr. Kreutz should have gone to the lot and wrote down the plate as the car was leaving, get a discription make and model and decribe those involved. Instead, he took the path less traveled, what he did was great, like I read earlier, he is the kind of man you want around when you are being robbed or assulted (when a life is at stake), he takes action. But should action be taken when it involve petty cash and a immature boy? Now, Aaron, on the other hand, had no business taking a tip jar. His actions created the effect. But being immature, young and stupid isn't a reason to serve 7 -10 years behind bars with harden criminals in for murder, assult, and bank robbery nor have his life taken away. This kid is going to have to deal with this for the rest of his life. Guilt cannot be avoided, it's apart of life. From what I understand is that he had a future, got mixed up with the wrong people and did things to impress the sassy girlfriend. Your son, my son, any of our kids will go through the same stages of life, it just depends upon how we guide them through these stages and teach them to think about all consequences possible in their actions. So,think about this, Aaron's life is over whether or not he goes to jail. This will haunt him, and remain on his record, jobs are not longer available, great schools reject the applications, friends and family will always dissapointment on their faces, as for Aaron, he will have that man's image inbedded in his brain forever. As for the world, we need to learn forgivness. As a community, we need to learn to come together and help lost souls instead of creating them. I believe that the punishment should fit the crime, I don't believe Aaron was on a path of distruction he was looking into going to SLU and Wash U. in STL. Prominant schools that idiots don't choose to go too. I am not defending Aaron Poisson here, but I can say that there is a world of 18 -25 year olds that can relate to doing something extremely stupid without thought ex: stealing a candy bar, gas & go, stealing the bottle of booze for the store, fake ids, and whatever else they do, how many of those bad judgements do you think turned into a death? Think about that dare you did at that age, did you think about all the consequences, I know I didn't.

Aaron is really a good person who made a very bad mistake. Does he deserve to be in prison...? NO! What he really needs is to be in rehab. and alot of therapy. This kid can be helped. Yes, he should be responsible for his actions but he could still be a blessing to other kids down the road. I know someone lost there life and that can never be undone but just maybe someone out there changes their life because of this. Maybe a lesson was driven home for other kids doing dumb stuff. Aaron deserves to be punished but a murderer he is not. I will pray for him and all those involved and before you cast the first stone, think of the dumb stuff you have done that could have had the same result.

I agree with Sua, there are many things that we have done as adolescents, that could have created the same results. Rehab., extensive community service, and possible short term jail in a min. sercurity lock down. Aaron should not get away with a hard slap on the wrist, he should have to face his punishment, but 7- 10 years...I hope not. His intentions were not there. And for the record, many reports are saying he ran over Mr. Kruetz, does anyone know if this is the actual case OR did Mr. Kruetz attempt to open the door and was knocked down by the door, forcing him head injury?

Aaron used to be one of the kindest most caring people you could have met this just goes to show how drugs can ruin your life. I know in my heart that he would never mean to hurt anyone and certainly Never take someones life! I agree there are consequences for this but it doesn't need to be time behind bars. Before you judge him stop and think of a mistake you have made.

What kind of drugs was Aaron doing? Not that it really matters, what's done is done, but just out of curiousity, every other person wrote it was because of the drugs...are we talking pot, prescription drugs, or are we talking coke and herion? That might actually make a big difference now that I think about it...if he was high on whatever at the time of the accident, maybe he didn't know the extent of the damage because of the drugs? If the police drug test him, what will they find? I can't see coke and heroin in the system blowing over very well in the courts when asked upon leinancy.

Aaron was not on coke or herion. If he had been we would already know. The police always drug test in cases where life is lost. He did not look like he was high in the servalence video from Star Bucks. Yes he may have a past with weed and alcohol but not out of his mind crazy. He was a long way from home with most likely little or no money for food or gas. It was his own fault where he was but still being hungry sometimes makes you do really dumb things. 85% of all teans have tried weed and alcohol, have stolen something and lied to get away with it. Less than 10% ever get caught. Aaron could have been anyones son, brother, sister or daughter. So lets all take a moment and check ourselves. Look past our perfect lifes and our perfect children and think..."what if Aaron was my child?". He very easily could have been.
Mr.Kruetz, you stood for what is so lacking in this country today, Pride and Honor. You saw a wrong and took action. Others would have looked away and let something so small pass with out a second thought. I am very sorry you lost your life. I would like to think I am like you but I cannot say for sure I would have hade the courage to do what you did. I wish you had been a coward and thought to yourself,"it's not my problem",but you did not and so thank you. SUA SPONTE |

I feel sorry for everybody here. Aaron is not the first or only boy paying for a mistake. He made the mistake. Let it be. Don't feel sorry for him. Feel sorry for the people he hurt with his mistake. We all have choices in life. He screwed up and he needs to pay. It turned out to be a larger screw up than he thought. His mistake.
This is life's lessons. He needs to make amends for his mistakes..........just like every other criminal in jail. You can feel sorry for all of them if you want to. They all have stories. Why does Aaron's bring on this sympathy? He is the wrong doer here. |
|

gee Sua, so everyone a long way from home needing money should steal and drive off fast ...running over some guy? Even if he was unaware he ran over him (doubtful).... this is okay because he was so poor? give me a break!
He screwed up....dah! Don't you think every one has a hard luck story? This kid is a screw up. He killed someone. A stupid kid and a kid...but a complete screw up none the less. Would you put your foot on the gas with someone hanging onto your door? Really...come on with this sympathy here! |
|
|
doesn't matter what the screw up was high on either Lauren.
it was 3 p.m. If he took pot or hard drugs or nothing...doesn't matter. He is a murderer. He drove over his head. Do you honestly think he was unaware of running over a lump here? What did this little immature creep think he ran over? |

Old enough to know better.
The girlfriend didn't put a gun to his head. |
