They have done nothing. Oh wait, new members did want to give away free breakfast at tax payers expense, and managed to get rid of the girls basketball coach. Way to go! Nothing positive towards kids education.

But Cheney could do arithmetic, prepare budgets, and run a business.

Not disagreeing. Replacement no better. Poor decision making on part of BOE

Who would have been a better choice?

Maybe one of the 50 others that applied. Not utilizing resources. Simply put, taking easiest choice

Do not disagree that the former coach needed to go my daughter played under him for four years and it was not very nice unless you were one of his favorites. No sour grapes here she started two for two years. My thought and from what I've heard we didn't better ourselves at all and maybe even made it worse.

So you really do not know if one of the other choices would have been a better choice, you are just speculating that one of them would be. Sometimes the easiest choice is the best choice. Mrs. Charles has a proven record from when she coached at the middle school level.

Doc,does success at the middle school level qualify any coach at the next level?

No it doesn't. That is no comparison. The athletes are different , attitudes are different, game is different. Success at middle school don't mean anything in any sport. That's like comparing playing a sport in high school to playing in college. Night and day difference.

There were many who applied that had succesful coaching exsperience. And no I'm not speculating.

Bottom line , the shiney new has already worn off the glitzy new BOE members and the rubber stamping continues. Their downward spiral has already begun. No positive improvements or changes have been made and the ship continues to sail on decisions made over the past 2 years.

Other coaches may have been successful elsewhere, but that was with different kids in different schools. You can not compare the two. My basketball coach in high school had 10 years of coaching after playing at UGA. During his 10 years his teams had made the playoffs every year and had won 3 state championships. He was only at my school for one year and we won 1 game. He had been successful, but now he is not. What happened? Different kids. Mrs. Charles was successful with the uncoming Juniors and Seniors at the middle school level, so she had success with these kids and that makes her more qualified than any other person.

Although you make valid conversation, she has not been the coach at middle school level with the current juniors and seniors. That would have been Coach Nunn at Clear Creek and Coach Candy at what used to be Gilmer Midfle School.

Therefore , your analogy does not apply.

Lie about everything, make up the rest, and when you call them out on it they act like they never had the conversation. It's a joke. BOE had ample opportunity to amend the situation and failed
