Since, there is alot of discussion about the Dawson police. I'm wondering if anyone knows Craig Patterson & anything about him, heard he was in Dawson these days, knew him from way back.

Craig is a veteran Police Officer. He knows the job as well as anybody. He used to be a heck of a good Officer, but who knows what impact Dawson Springs may have had on him. I know one thing, these new officers can learn a lot from Craig if they just pay attention../. He can handle any sitsuation. And believe me if I didn't mean this I would not have said this. If a cop is an asshole, I'll be the first one to tell it.....

He was one of the good ones.

I belive his finest hour was back around Earlinton riot of 87' on Rutter Ave. when he was a County deputy.

He singel handedly led a group of local and State police in what is known as the legendary 'Patterson's Midnight raid into Heckla.'

He would make a fine police chef in Dawson Springs.

Hey William, we just got another shipment in. Why don't you come down to the police department so you can smoke with all your buddies down here. Just come in and ask for Craig, he'll take good care of you and see that you get what you need.

I agree that craig patterson is a great cop...but why does this town need 5 cops??...earlington has 1 cop, nortonville has 1 cop, mortons gap has 1 cop...and there towns are bigger than this one...either dawson has a really bad crime rate...or something isnt right!!! I have never understood why they have to have 5 to 6 cops for a little town like this!....and something else that i dont understnad i know this is off subject but why do we have to pay this high water bills when we cant even drink the water...and we have got these letters in the mail about the water for the past 2 years that i know of...if it wasnt for me having to wash clothes and bathe, i would have my water turned off i think it is crazy!!!....i mean seriously they should at least cut our bill in half when something is wrong with the water!...but anyways i guess all small towns are like this...

Earlington, Nortonville and Mortons Gap are all smaller than Dawson Springs in population and square miles. They have to rely on the state police and the sheriff department most of the time. I don't believe anyone who needed the police in an emergency would want to wait the time it would take for them to respond to Dawson. Due to the geographic location, this could mean the difference between life and death. Everyone wants to bitch about Dawson having too many police or driving good cars and having good working equipment until they need them. Just one time let there be an emergency and someone have to wait for an hour or even longer for another agency to respond and the s**t would hit the fan. No one seems to stop and think that every town that has the population of Dawson and businesses need a 24 hours police department and Dawson is fortunate to have the ability to do that. Complain about there being 5 officers but stop and think what it takes to have a 24 hour police department. Most always there is only one officer on duty at a time and if back up is needed or an officer has to go to the jail, someone who is off duty takes calls while he is gone. How many people do you know that are willing to do that? Especially for people that are so damn ungrateful! The problem with Dawson Springs is that everyone is spoiled. Try calling the state police or sheriff's department about your neighbor's fence, dog or maybe your 10 year old child will not get up and go to school and see if they show up at your door. Maybe the Dawson Springs police should all go on vacation for about 2 weeks at the same time and see what happens. Be careful what you ask for people, you may just get it. It would take a lot more officers that they have to do this if it were not for these guys willing to sacrifice everything just to protect people who don't appreciate it. NO ONE knows what it takes to be a police officer (especially a small town police officer)except another police officer. Dawson has some well trained good police officers and people need to give them a break. They are just trying to do a hard job that no body else wants. They give much more than anyone realizes and get very little in return.

...u see what happened was bck in the early 90's Dawson was kinda like training are for career cops then cam the late 90's and is was truly a blessing to the community to have all these minimum wage cops tryin to learn how to be a cop coincidently around the same time things got off the chain round this bitch when i was a teen Dawson was a lil on the twisted side so they figured it would b a good idea to keep a handful of low budget cops around to try an attempt at monitoring the streets just in case for some reason the National Guard might need to be called.....we wuz Fu*Ked UP!
there really aint no reason tho to have 5 cops in Dawson cuz most of us are in prison or dead or on this web doin thangs on anotha level...these lil Be Be's kids runnin round Dawson these dayZ are harmless poor pittiful me EMO pussy's giv me what I want or I am gonna hurt myself...Fu&k u dnt need any cops in Dawson anymore these lil misfits will hang themselves

I agree with everything said about the water prices,it is completely outrageous and you can't even drink the shit.It seems as much as we have to pay for it they could at least get it safe enough to drink. It has a gross taste and smell.I even filter the dog's water.

now why would you feel the need to tell the whole world that info? Do you feel like you need to be important or something? Im sure if what you say is true, it wont be after they read this. As someone once said: Its better to remain silent and thought of as a fool, than to open your mouth and be proven.
Do you also understand if the mayor reads this and demands an investation and puts you under oath and they prove what you say is true, you just cost a few good cops their jobs. Im getting word to certain cops that are having anything to do with you to stop if they want to keep their jobs cause you just told alot of people who didnt know anything everything.
