They need a new store manager and they need people to help those poor girls who run those registers up there by themselves half the time. Why have 4 registers when one girl is up there going as fast as she can, trying to get help to the register by paging the managers on the handset, and still get no response. Just remember when you stand in a forever long line, its not the cashiers fault. I try to keep that in mind because I know their doing the best they can with what little bit of help she has. Their always full of people during the day as far as employees but when you go in around school time and even sometimes later, there's only 2-3. Seems like the manager needs to take a course in schedule preparation and have more people in during the busiest times of the day instead of just in the morning so they can all sit back in the back and talk as I have witnessed.

it is ridiculous. you go in there and people are lined up all the way to the back of the store and one register going. then you got employees walking around not doing anything so they could open another register easily. they will only open another one if someone says something about the wait, which is bad customer service. they just recently added two more registers, not sure why to be honest because they only use one of the two they already had.

No the store manager is Doris--Leah I believe is working at Parkers now. At least that's what I was told.

yeas leah is at rex parker's the black headed woman is the store manager there now i beleive.

Just remember its not the cashiers fault--their doing what they can. Besides, they don't make the schedules.....and I keep that in mind as well. I feel sorry for them.

I do believe that you people will complain about anything. Do you realize how stupid it sounds to be complaining about the Dollar Store? I don't care what store you go in, you are going to wait in line. Learn some patience!

Okay why exactly did they put in more registers when they have only been used like once???? i went in there this morning to get 2 little items and waited in line for 20 min....wtf????....there was a worker outside and 3 more inside doing other things...i just dont get it....it is really annoying i think i would rather drive to princeton to get what i need then go in the doller store it use to not be like that...i dont know what is goin on but somebody needs to complain...i know it is not the workers fault....the manager needs to make sure there are enough workers because they know how busy there are so i just dont get it....

Sounds like you're a little ticked because your store is being talked about if you are the real Dollar Store Manager. I don't think the real manager would get on here and say that but you never know.

The Dollar Store will stay that way because they are a monopoly in that town. They know you can't go right down the street to another Dollar Store so they don't care. It is a shame. One of the many reasons I left that town, its like the IGA with their crazy prices on freezer burnt food. Dawson really has nothing to offer.

It takes so long because the DG Corporation has it fixed where the cashiers cannot do anything with the drawers except scan the items and take money.

They can't take off an item that is double scanned, or do returns, and it isn't the store managers fault for any of that.
All Dollar Generals are like that.

Now, as far as management goes, the only manager who was ever worth anything has left to work for Rex Parker. And, she was the assistant manager.
Dorris, the actual manager, isn't worth anything as it is, and most people working there quit because of her.

And, only one register is ran because it's corporate policy only one drawer be run on at a time, because it "eliminates" theft.

The manager(if u want to call her that) is Doris and she is the most rude and impolite person I have ever met. Someone needs to report her to whoever her boss is. Ever since she took over the store, it has been disorganized and she judges people that she doesn't even know. She needs a different job, away from the public.

Don't waste your time waiting go somewhere else, sooner or later they will do something about it, maybe when their sales fall, and while we are at it why can't they put stock out at night instead of Sat. morning when it is busy and you can't get down the isles.

Have you ever been to a store on an indian reservation.

Same mentality.

DG is the only place in town where you can buy a pair of drawers or socks.

Until there is competition, expect no significant improvement.
