Due to water shortages in this area. Well drilling should be sanctioned by the County Authorities, especially in this area. They could very well tap into my or the entire community supply. No telling what their volume might be when replacing an unknown usage. I do want to say-that this man has no ethics at all when it comes to politics and getting what he wants at any cost. There are no ethics and no integrity with the passing of this motor sports project.
This project was passed by deceiving the land owners based on a nuisance sound test. Not even built yet and declared not to be a nuisance. Then comes another case of an airport....an airport with no noise??? How stupid can we be.?? Please, put ethics and integrity back into our laws...

I am a land owner in Dawson County for years. I have been in marketing--sales for over 50 years. I listened to and recognize the garbage of lies put out by this OWNER OF THE MOTOR SPORTS in selling the City Council on this project. Of course it ended with only the (5) members on the council voting for it. The city mayor dropped the gavel and said its a done deal and no one had any right to comment. This done with (2) sheriff's deputies at every door. There also was a promise that the entire sheriff's dept would have free access to the park with all the perks.(Special interests)? With - 95% of the county's population against this project still lost because of the land jurisdiction annexed by the City of Dawsonville. THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG IN DENMARK WITH THIS CURRENT CITY COUNCIL. JUST A FEW IN THE CITY DICTATING TO THE THOUSANDS IN THE COUNTY. JUST TAKE ONE GOOD LOOK AT THEIR ANNEXATION MAP....HOPE THE PEOPLE WILL WAKE UP BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. THIS ANNEXATION MAP HAS BEEN WELL PLANNED OUT WITH SO MUCH FLEXIBILITY IN IT, IT BECOMES SCARY...in fact this entire meeting was scary. THE POWER THEY WILL HAVE OVER THE COUNTY IF NOT WATCHED VERY CAREFUL...

I know I can access the tax assessors site, but is there any way to access to annex map online?

Can you explain a little more about what's scary about the annex stuff?- wasn't at the meeting. Obviously a government with too much control is bad but wondering what you found scary, more specifically.

What I find to be scary: is this: When you take a good look at the way the CITY ANNEXED, I believe there to be a reason behind it. We the public and land owners bordering these crazy zig-zag boundaries could be in jeopardy. Especially the way the lines run. Never have I seen such a puzzle. Usually when you see something like this, there is a hidden motive and agenda behind it...nobody would annex this geography in this manner without some plan behind it. And of course, we, you and I are in the total dark about what the plans of the city fathers are. Whatever they are is and will not be in our best interest, you can take that to the bank......I have had real estate experience with the oil companies and know the tactics. Always money is behind it. If these people are allowed to drill their own well, it could very well dry many wells around it or limit the flow at least. Of course, they really don't give a damn about the peoples. That is a fact no matter what they tell you. What they tell you are lies!!! Count on it.....Now I have laid it out specifically what I am afraid will happen once they get approval for their own well....there is only so much water in this region anyway. I do know when we have a drought, all our wells either go dry, or we have a great deal less water available. So, there cannot be much reserves underground in this area.

Note: The owner talks about the needs of water. How much needs are we talking about? Don't say, do they..they will be taking away from home owners in the area, especially if they hit a vein that serves water for miles around. They know nothing about how much water is even available. This owner of the motor park is a real salesman. I listened to what he had to say at one of the meetings. I have been in sales and marketing for over 50 years, and I have never heard such a con in my life as to what he thought and how it would benefit this county. He is interested only in money. It is obvious that he is still wet behind the ears with his rhetoric...please folks, wisen up......
