Here in the UK the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 said that Pit Bulls must be neutered, insured and muzzled and kept on a leash in any public area. They must be microchipped and registered.
The law has changed since then and it is now illegal to own a dog of this "type". That includes American & Irish Staffordshire Terriers & some kinds of American Bulldogs. Staffordshire Bull Terriers are excluded, they are not listed in the 1991 Act.

This "type" of dog was bred specifically for fighting other dogs in a pit in Victorian times. They are aggressive and dangerous and should be banned in Dawson and in every city in the US. Fine if you want a guard dog and you live in a cave in the boondocks, they don't make great pets in a city anywhere. They are unpredictable and can be lethal.

Really? You really believe that pit bulls are born dangerous? Please do not buy into this hype. I have four dogs. Two are PB's, one is a Lab and the other a Golden mix. My Lab is the one to watch out for! It's not the dog, it's the way that the dog was raised or cared for, or not cared for, sadly. When people don't treat their dogs well, when they are chained outdoors in all types of weather, unaltered, and used as either fighters, breeding machines, or just plain attack dogs or guard dogs, and not as pets, what do you expect? That is an awful stereotype. Smart people don't stereotype and I know you are all smarter than thinking this ridiculous stuff.
