"Have you thought about using solar power to cut costs at home or at work?"

Have had solar PV on the roof of my house since 2005. The electric bills for most of the year is zero. High consumption times like summers where heat is in the 100 plus and the nightime lows can be in the 90's requires a lot of extra KWh. It is during the summer months there is an electric bill if one at all. This year over the summer months it cost 300.00 for electricity, that averages out to 25.00 a month. Next year maybe less or zero. Right now I have 20 year old A/C units that I want to replace with high effiency two speed models, this should give me a year around energy credit.

Absolutely!

I live in the south. We don't have much for solar panels yet. We do have a great potential though. I've heard about what's happening out west with the solar and wind farms and can't wait till it comes to my town. The Boeing plant is putting on solar roof so that's about it where I live.

I can't wait till we get solar in our neck of the woods. I'm hoping in the next 5 years or so. We're a bit behind the times at the moment. That's probably OK since I will probably need a bigger array for an electric car I hope to afford by then.

All I've done so far got rid of all the old PCs and put everybody on laptops, replaced the TV with LED, fridge and wash machine with energy star and got rid of all the incandescent and CFLs and went to 100% LED lighting.
