This "complex scientific data" does not all point to "global warming". Data shows the earth is maintaining or cooling a bit, Antartica's ice cap is increasing and scientists all over the world, not all but some, are questioning if climate change really exists and if it does if man does much to cause it. There are enough questions that warrant good scientific study to indicate that we should slow down and look before we commit a lot of our hurting economy to fixing a problem that may not exist, or may not be that significant. If we, the United States, cut our "carbon footprint" by 50% it won't have much effect on Earth's climate. That being said, reasonable efforts to cut energy use, use alterative energy, cut waste and pollution are good and will increase our quality of life, but we shold not sacrifice all we have to accomplish it.
