If you're asking the question, you already know the answer. So, why ask?

Overpaid public servants?! Ellis has a law degree and a dental degree. Do you have any idea how much money these guys could make in private practice? They are public servants because they choose to be, to make a difference in their community, not for the money. How about you stop your complaining and try to make a difference yourself?

As a former DA employee, I can say that the people of Solano County are lucky to have these two going onto the bench. Both are highly respected in the legal community and will be wonderful judges. Best of luck to both of them.

From the comments made here I assume these two people were not corrupted by working in the DA's office. If that's the case they must be saints. Congratulations!

After reading this article I find it disturbing that the governor apointed 2 white men that are republicans. He should have been more diverse in his choices similar to Obama appointing the Mexican lady to the Supreme court. I fear that these new conservative white men apointees will make it more difficult for people of color to recieve the understanding they would get otherwise at a trial.

If they are republicans, then he appointed them because they are republicans, not because they're white, and essentially all republicans are white. He certainly should not appoint someone "of color" because they are "of color". Maybe if they were off color, but certainly not "of color". Same thing goes for sex, national origin, and size of left pinkie.
