<quoted text>Well, I would have to argue that some of this "talent" is questionable. I would also question the graduates leaving these "institutions as being of the best "Quality" as well. Do they have a better advantage as far a marketability? Certianly. My U of Hawaii and U of Florida certianly helps, but They are nothing compared to Ivy league, Stanford, Cal, and a couple others.
The judgements you make are certainly valid within your personal context; however, one can view statistics showing that undergraduates from University of California institutions are more likely to continue their education and achieve graduate educations.

One only needs to see the number of Nobel laureates listed as faculty in the UC system (the school boasts a total of 57 nobel laureates.. well in excess of any other system) to see that the researchers affiliated are of higher caliber.

BTW. Cal is part of the University of California System.

UC students are seen across the nation as among the highest caste of undergraduate students.

I agree. That's why I included Cal in my exceptions and for good reason. California once had a wonderful dream and then squandered it on correcting every other social issue placed in front of it. Combine that with Federal mandates, which are partially funded or not funded after a period of time, we have lost that dream for the time being, until our lawmakers realign their priorities. I just have strong opinions on what those priorities ought to be.

Exactly Sara, these punks are owed NOTHING! There are tons of Obama stickers all over Davis. They ain't seen nothing yet. Wise??? It cost X amount of dollars to attend college. If you don't like the price, go somewhere else or don't go. It's not the tax payers job to send these people to school. And at UCD, it most likely Mommie and Daddy sending and paying for them anyway.
I agree except the "mommie and daddy" part. Not everyone's parents are paying for their college education. And by saying "they ain't seen nothing yet." means they have... Just saying.

The scumbag UCD pigs are way out of line this time by shooting pepper spray at SITTING demonstrators.

Looks like the UCD pigs are receiving much in the way of financial encouragement by the top 1 percent.

And to think that California is a "liberal" state. Bull schitt!

I love the smell of pepper spray and the sound of billy clubs cracking the skulls of filthy scum sucking communist hippies early in the morning. Those are the smells and sounds of American Freedom.

GOD BLESS AMERICA AND THE HARD WORKING TOP 1%!

Can you imagine Thanksgiving for these young men and women.

Many will be seated across the dining tables from Parents who VOTED for the tuition increases when they Voted for Union Owned Democrats or the Union Owned Governor who made the choice to raise tuitions so they could give more to their Union campaign supporters.

Imagine who ALFUL the Parents will feel for enabling the Union Operatives to do this to their OWN children????
