Ignore the predictable endorsements for Davis

There are 6 comments on the Vallejo Times-Herald story from Apr 17, 2011, titled Ignore the predictable endorsements for Davis. In it, Vallejo Times-Herald reports that:

What unbelievable contempt the good ol' boys have for Vallejo's citizens . Long before any other mayoral candidates entered the field, long before the voters have had an opportunity to see what vision and leadership other mayoral candidates will bring to the election, and long before the electorate has had any chance whatsoever to review the issues ...

Santayana and Sean have their pulse on the decent people of Vallejo.
Yeah, throw all the self serving bums out. By the Grace of God maybe Vallejo can be saved. I have new faith after reading these comments.

I question the GOB meaning without stating the reasons for that title. Are we attaching the GOB title simply because we do not agree with their alleged handling of past and present actions they were involved in? Should every Vallejoan know automatically who the GOB's + GOG's are?

Are we talking about those that have lived here forever.... and have shaped the city via their votes (or not!!) or are we talking about those that have "served" the residents in various civic capacities, or are we talking about the monied crowd,(yes, vallejo has some of those also!)?

From my relative short residency of 20 years compared to those that have generational background and roots here, I can think of a few who have helped shape this city and what it has become. But on the other hand those individuals have secured a pretty good future and standing in the community for themselves, have become the alleged elite of this burg, including keeping a pretty well padded bank account courtesy of the Vallejo taxpayer!

Are those some of the GOB'ers and GOG'ls we are pointing and referring to?

ShIaT!! Davis wasn't lawfully elected in the first place. As for the other two Vallejo failures, you hit the nail squarely on the head.

No Davis. No Intintoli. No Curtola. Leadership (choke) at its worst!

I can always count on you to put things in perspective.

The 100 year lease of a dental practice on OUR waterfront, the Higgins property, the Charles Hotel property, the banking by another council member of the only bookstore allowed in Vallejo (which promptly failed), the signing of 8% plus raises for employees while the city was in the red (guess the can finally hit the pothole) and the attorney for slum lords, redevelopment contractors, housing authority and ponzi scam artists besides being God's personal messenger against homosexuals...

"Vallejo, my kind of town"!
