SO, you wanna be the mayor ? ok, first question, What are you going to do about the section 8, the welfare queens, the ho's, the pants draggers, the dopers, the motorcyclers, the homeless bums, and all they bring with them ?
Will any candidate have the guts to speak to the real problems in this town ? or will it be more liberal progressive democrat lies as we have seen for the last fourty years ?

Vallejo is screwed. No one with a serious real world background is going to run for Mayor, or serve on any of the Commissions, of a corrupt and bankrupt city, assuming that there are such persons living in Vallejo.

Under the current mayor's term, two significant news nationwide made Vallejo infamous,

"Vallejo makes ‘dying cities’ and ‘most miserable cities’ lists

They say no publicity is bad publicity, but doubtless Vallejo doesn’t feel that way after being ranked by two national magazines as a deeply undesirable place to live.

Newsweek ranked Vallejo the #2 dying city due to its overall population decline between 2000 and 2009 and its decline in residents under 18. They also noted that Vallejo has one of the highest foreclosure rates in the nation. Forbes used 10 factors, including crime, unemployment, taxes, and commute times and ranked Vallejo the #9 most miserable city. Needless to say, boosters and supporters of Vallejo were not overjoyed at this news, but by any objective measure, the city remains in deep financial trouble."

And while entire families were departing, the city experienced an influx of prostitutes, homeless, drug dealers, vandals and copper thieves. All the while unemployment and foreclosures remained as one of the highest in the Bay Area. These and other major issues will emerge to haunt Davis as election day approaches.

It won't change with a new Mayor, actually I hope Schivley wins so she can take a pounding for things getting worse. Our situation is being wrongly attributed to the leadership of the Mayor. Critics cry out against the Strong Mayor form of government but are quick to blame Davis for our problems. Fact is, staff will ball up and give Schivley a real headache for 4 years, if she lasts that long. She has played the "Gotcha" card too many times, trying to make staff look incompetent or in collusion with Davis.

You really don't like Schively do you. When are you going to man up and own it. Once a liar always a liar. Sam can't help himself.
