Thanks for explaining gang turf as I didn't know that geography was a factor. Gangs that are involved with "criminal" acts require the ongoing legal efforts of the DA to reduce their activity. Inadequate legislative, prosecutorial and police efforts have contributed to the totally unacceptable gang problem we have in this country. This is also partly due to the fact that there are many people and organizations that work against any effort to suppress criminal gang activity for their own reasons and without regard for public safety.

I live in the "zone" and there is no gang activity going on. I have been a "Broderick girl" for 40 plus years, and I am not afraid to walk in this community. The thing that scares me more than anything is how our youth are being harrassed everyday by the West Sacramento Police Dept. I have a sixteen year old daughter that I take to school everyday and see the cops harrassing these kids. Our youth are being stopped and asked if they are involved in a gang, when is this going to stop? Anything that happens in the community from a latino, the first thing the Yolo County Da's want is an admittance to a gang. Enough already!!!

I believe It is time To impliment a new lil Broderick boys gang injunction that lasts 25 years if It is possible...I have a real issue with the new lil Broderick boys jumping my 13 year old son in.. By schedueling body fights in the local parks after School And arranging It by fb And via personal Cell phones. There is a new wave of lil Broderick boys who are flying under the radar. Due To a lack of funding And local Law enforcement. This is a growing social problem that needs To be controled quickly... I am ArealMomwho cares And i move To approve a renewed injunction asap.....I am calling upon the DA To Help me....

I remember growing up in Broderick in the 80's and 90's and it was not all that bad compared to other cities like south sac, del paso heights and oak park. These youngsters have no clue what they get themselves into. The biggest issue is the level of respect. No one understands that concept anymore. Even some of the ones my age and older. Broderick Boys barely exist anymore. The ones that call themselves that today are different from my day and my parents day.
