I have been waiting for this 'return to reason' ever since a few scientists tried to make soot into the 'real culprit'.
There is a problem with 'one study' results compared to the mass of interlocking results that the IPCC reviewed. One study can come up with 'outlier' values that don't stand up to scrutiny and often get published mainly because they ARE so far from the 'mainstream'. That said, I am sure that the deeper investigation of soot effects has refined the AGW model.
