When will we start holding officers accountable for their brutality and excessive use of force? The handling of protesters is Unconstitutional and endangers the basic rights of EVERY last American. Is this the country we were raised in, were men and women are beaten, gassed, pepper-sprayed and arrested for their disapproval of the government? Read about how the Cops profit from rounding up protesters and minorities in our Capitalized Police State at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2012/08/th...

A bit dramatic eh Brandt? To be clear you do not speak for me so your "every last American" line aint cutting it. I am a patriotic American who does not share your distorted view. Law and Order is not what it used to be. This settlement was a joke. Peaceful protests are great, however blocking public streets, taking over buildings, etc... are NOT peaceful protests. Only in California would they pay people who were violating the law, ignoring lawful orders to disperse, etc.... And I see they hired some Police Chief at UC Davis who promptly did the spineless, wrong thing and fired the Police Lt. who hosed down the unlawful protestors.

Let's see, fired for doing your job because it is not the popular thing to do in the liberal capital of the western hemisphere.

Hmmmmmmmm..........

Well .... it is California after all, I guess you can't expect much better.

"Capitalized Police State"?? yea, right. One too many mushrooms my friend.
