It is only fitting for you to write about the most foul smelling fertilizer there is. It is a metaphor for your last few columns.

I have a tropical fish aquarium where I change out a third of the water every two weeks. That water, containing all of the leftover food and excrement that I vacuum off the bottom, gets dumped into my vegetable garden each time. You would not believe the size and amount of the tomatoes, peppers, and basil I've been getting the past few summers. So, if you have an aquarium, save yourself some money and just dump the fishwater over your vegetable garden for the same effect. The only downside is that cats continue to nip at my tomatoes.
