Couple challenges cap on jury awards
A state cap on jury awards for pain and suffering is unconstitutional, said a Davidsonville couple who won a $4 million jury award in the 2006 drowning of their 5-year-old son only to see the law slash it to $1 million.

They shouldn't have gotten a dime. Where were the parents while their 5 year old son was drowning in a community pool. Blame the sixteen year old life guards all you want, the parents are to blame.
