it needs to be widen because of STUPIDITY of the LEADERS OF HUNTERSVILLE,CORNELIUS,DAVIDSO N AND MOORESVILLENC> they let contractors go wild and built way to many houses in these areas This also includes office building to. A MORTARIUM SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE AT LEAST 15 YEARS AGO. IN THIS AREA THE TAXES ARE TO HIGH NOW. THE AVERABGE CITIZEN OF THIS AREA SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY ANY MORE TAXES.TO IMPROVE THIS ROAD. THIS IS THE MISTAKE OF1GOVERNMENT LEADERS,TOWN LEADERS and the contractors having them in their HIP POCKET.

The problem is greed,Real estate overbuilt the area to line their pockets and now the auto industry and oil companies are going to overbuild the roads so they can line their pockets.Of course, the one truly lining their pockets is the bank from all of them which runs the entire area with Charlotte being a banking central. So i wouldn't expect them to do anything smart.
They really need to halt expansion of expensive road projects and continue with the less expensive mass transit,Add more trolleys, buses. If people don't like the freeway they have a choice. But that's the smart planning choice, not the greedy one since you can't sell more car loans with better mass transit.
