You are right they are not. My step daughter goes to public middle school, seventh grade, she is a straight "A" student. She is doing work now that I did not do until my junior year in high school. She plays saxophone in band and is on a church basket ball team and is active in her youth group. As far as I can tell the only thing lacking with her is common sense.<quoted text>
The point being the youth today are not being taught like generations before. The education system is a joke Nd need an overhaul. An overhaul that warrants no additional money. Throwing more money at the problem is not the answer.
I have also noticed this in the cooperate world also. The further up the cooperate ladder they get the less common sense they seem to have. IMO, a person who has the common sense to know where and how to find the information they need is just as intelligent as the one who boggles their mind with it. IMO, some of the most book smart people that I have ever met don't have the common sense to get in out of the rain.
