I truly can not believe some of the things some of the inhumane people have posted! Give me a break, it's not like she woke up and said hey I think I will become a widow today and on top of that have my first born in an inncubater fighting for his life!!! Get a clue at least there are people in this country who do still care and come together to help others in need. Just because he was a smart 24 yr old and got a good job with good benefits doesn't take away that a worthless piece of trash who was pulled over for something minor SHOT HIM TO DEATH!!!! which left a wife and newborn baby without his support. I read a comment somewhere else about all the financial assistance she could get from the government, HA HA HA!! she won't be able to I'm sure because her husband worked and had the benefits get your facts before you run off at the mouth- his death will be considered work comp and it will be 10 years before she sees any of that! Take your negativity to the crapper! didn't your mother tell you if you can't say anything nice don't say it at all!!!(and yes my mother told me but sometimes something just needs to be said when others are inappropriate!)
I am not surprised at all over it. Some people just don't use their noggin's at times. Some do it just to see who they can get fired up. When I throw off on something I usually mean what I say, but in this case there aren't any throwing off to be done. God be with this family in their time of sorrow and need.

My hat is off to Don Gundry for organizing this run. It was spectacular and very moving. After getting thru Asheville, we were amazed how well this ride went. Every intersection all the way to Maggie was blocked and the road was lined with people all the way. Thanks to all the bikers who participated. It was an awesome sight. Get well Baby Tye.

I posted some of the photos on WNC Harley Riders Association. Easyriders magazine may be printing some in a future edition also. It was an amazing ride and the brotherhood of bikers is a powerful site to behold.
Gene Lummus ride for Trooper Blanton is 7/26 leaving at Noon. See you there it is open to all bikes.

Has anyone (s) gotten together to edit and make a "Special Video" of this event in order to be sold for fundraising purposes?

Nothing that I am aware of. I took quite a few shots and have only a few feet of video.

I am brought to tears everytime I read the articles in the paper and the comment that I have just read here. I think it is wonderful that people can get together and support this family. Anyone that has negitive things to say shoud keep their thoughts to themselves. I wonder how they would feel if they were in this situation. My thoughts and prayers are still with this family. I'm also praying for the ones that just don't seem to understand.

I was absolutely amazed at the outpouring of bikers for this ride! It is so heartwarming to know that we still have people out there who care for someone other than themselves! May God bless this little baby and his mother and give them the grace and help they need to go on.
