What an outrageous abuse of government power by these officers. The problem with many police officer is that they forget that their job is to serve the public. They begin to believe that they can lord over citizens and that any offense justifies their use of physical power and governmental powers of arrest. These officers should be fired and possibly tried for civil rights violations. The tape is evidence of an unjustified violent assault under color or authority.

Let's hope that the police in Paden never need an EMT to come to their aid.

Considering the risks that law enforcement officers take in their daily duties, it seems insane that they'd want to make enemies of the people, that might one day hold their lives in their hands.

If this officer is wounded in the line of duty, will he want an EMT to come to his aid?

It was actually the OHP, NOT a Paden officer that wsa involved. He's a real jerk from what I hear. This latest incident not counted in that. Seems he's been an @$$ all around. Not to me personally but he isn't well liked.

Do you think that would have happened if a fellow OHP officer or one of their family members would have been in the back of that ambulance? I don't think so. This OHP officer seems to be a role crazy cop. The fact he would even pull the ambulance over at all baffles me. This guy needs to be in prison himself with the kind of temperment, before he or someone else's life is put in harms way due to his poor judgement. I really can't believe the man is still on the force.

I would not want these 2 EMT's to come to my rescue.

I think a lot of people have only seen what the family had recorded. First of all, the ambulance was driving under the speed limit. Secondly, the lights were not even running. The officer was headed to an accident with injuries after he passed the ambulance (after it pulled out in front of him) the driver flipped him off. the officer was called back and another trooper attended the crash.

Why would an EMT leave a patient in the back anyway. The lady was being treated for heat exhaustion and was released upon arriving at the emergency room.

For those of you saying he is a jerk and so forth do not even know 606. First of all, it is a poor call to judge someone that you do not even know. I do know for a fact that the man has served our country several times over in Iraq. He has left his wife and children behind for quit some time to make sure that we have our freedom. That does not give anyone the right to act silly, but do not make negative remarks about someone until you know them.

Ok hippity, you are obviously a cop. You think it is okay to pull over an ambulance and delay medical attention to the patient regardless if a fucking EMT shot him a bird?! SO WHAT?! He didn't point a gun at him...he shot him a bird...and we don't even know if that happened. If the cop was so concerned about the accident with injuries, then he should have ignored a bird and kept driving to the accident. I am demanding this cop's job since I live here. I do not want anyone like this on the force. This is why so many people would rather deal with situations themselves than get the cops involved. I didn't call the cops right away when I had something stolen out of my house because I am afraid of cops like this...cops who use that badge to their advantage not the publics. I hope the family sues the police and they win!

Aren't there laws against road rage and laws that prohibit people tempering with EMTs in the line of duty?I guess they don't apply to the OHP. Niether do traffic laws for that matter, I've lost count of the number of times on the interstate I've had my cruise set on 70-74 mph and a cop, without lights or sirens, pass me like I'm sitting still. Are they above the law becuase of their badges and guns? I as a tax payer would like to know why do they get to choose what laws they have to follow. And to hippity I've severed my coutry also in the middle east aboard a submarine if I lose my temper like this 606 I bet I'll get a free ride to jail despite that fact.

He may have served the public for a long time, but that dosn't give him the right to abuse his position as a law enfocement officer, even if he was "flipped off" that doesn't excuse the profound unprofessionalism displayed here. He should be able to control himself better as a professional. Watch the video on MSNBC and judge for youself if this man should be in a position to protect others or if he is as guilty as the criminals he protects us from.

The cops in all America need a serious over haul. They are the real terror threat. You heard it your self. People are afraid to call the worthless pigs. I personally don't call them, I deal with it myself. I am a law abiding citizen in every way but the police are Nazis that can't be trusted.

I am a retired combat vet. I can see it in the video that the officer needs therapy ASAP for PTSD. HE is sick, literally. From what the hippity wrote about his past that officer's actions make a lot of sense if you look into PTSD and the way someone with it reacts. I totally agree also with the public on this one, he is a threat to anyone and everyone, even his own family are in danger. There have been several combat vets that have PTSD and have killed family, neighbors, or anyone else.

From Oregon here. I was shocked to see this. Wow. If there was no camera, it would have been the cops word. Bottom line. Never even heard of a emergency medical team getting pulled over and by the camera's view it does not even appear that the medic wagon intentially made a mistake. Cops word is usually the word, however his professional composure was 100% INERT. Obviously. I feel bad if the cop gets fired when he is a vet and has kids, but I will be overthrown with sadness/disgust if he does not get some type of correction/discipline from his employer or an agency higher up. It was his demeanor, overt anger, and lack of composure that utterly baffled me. I feel bad for OK people who live there if thats the way it is.

well 606 needs anger management serving does not give him the right to grab anyone by the throat and serving may explain his actions and he needs counseling i am retired from l.e. and these kinda guys need counseling and desk duty and do public events pr stuff until he gets his act together and please dont put these badge numbers out there and never have i heard of a trooper being called of a crash so another one could go and a crash with injuries ? if it were that bad why would he be called off , anyway these guys got a tough job and need all the support they can get but dude when yer wrong yer wrong he should be charged with a misdemeanor and he can keep his job but i understand rural area district attorney are wimps not too mention they are everyday friends who hunt ,fish etc. the paramedic who got out shoould have stayed in back and if he assaulted the trooper then get a warrant put his azz in lockup. but 606 needs to be pulled off the road , counseled, do some public relations and sadly enough transferred far away. lets try to salvage this guy because he does deserve it
