I see this as ironic. One article talks about a woman in desperate need for help for herself and her child and another of a woman who is obsessesed with growing hair. Obviously we have priorities going in opposite directions at the Sentinel.
I didn't see Obama's name mentioned in the article or did I overlook it?

How much more inspiring this might have been if this was a picture of this woman receiving a diploma from UCF or Rollins in a study that would have provided her and her family with a self sufficient employment ? Is this a study in underachievement ? I've seen similar wastes of time and effort with Indian men growing fingernails to record sizes. OCD at its finest.

I guess the real writers have the week off. Wait, does the Slantinel even have real writers? I guess the kids from Central Florida Future are filling in.

oh yea and

HOW IS THIS A FRONT PAGE STORY!?!?
It should be buried in the entertainment section.

I'm not going to shave today, I expect a call from the Sentinel today for my interview and photo op.

Gee, this is front page news? No dead drug dealers today, Slantinel? Send this silly female with the sillier name back to Haiti where she can spray her hair with voo-doo dust.
Take a geography lesson, or a reading lesson. Your pick.

ONCE A WEEK It takes one bottle of shampoo and one bottle of conditioner every time she washes her hair? Makes no difference. Inside those dreads have got to be a nasty mess. Could be maggots, mites, roaches, all kinds of crap in that hair. Very insanitary. Might not be too good for her health. Does this lady have a job? Hope it's not meeting and greeting the public.

After the snip, snip, then maybe she can get a job and make herself useful.

Yeah, she'll look more presentable at the welfare office.

How much you want to bet she's on food stamps, welfare, unemployment, disability (can't work with such long hair), has a handicapped parking tag/decal and 5 kids by 5 different daddies?

This is front page news?

I don't bet unless I think there is a chance of winning. You are probably 100% right.

Isn't it wonderful to know that our hard earned tax dollars go for such worthy causes as this woman symbolizes! Quite obviously she has nothing better to do than to just sit around on the front porch with her ghetto brothers and they all watch her hair grow and have head lice races! This is exactly what Obama's "spreading the wealth" will be subsidizing! He will take our money and give it to all these do-nothing lazy people that refuse to become productive citizens and would rather the liberal, bleedin-heart Democrats pay their way through this life! You get what you pay for and if you put that idiot Obama into office you deserve what you get!

I couldnt agreed more with you. I have to do a double read on this article to see what was significant about this lady that make it front news.
