You mean 'paid for' by future generations, no?
No, I actually think the comment was "pay off" for future generations. And it will. It depends on the cost. And you are all speculators at this point because absolutely nobody knows the real numbers. It will need to be accounted for over time. We will cut off funding over time if there are too many cost increases.

Democracy works. Unless you would rather have all tax money spent on nothing but crackdown efforts.

Really? "We don't know the costs, but it was a good purchase unless it costs too much, at which point it was all sunk cost and it doesn't matter"? Don't know about you, but in my personal and business dealings, I've never purchased something without knowing how much it cost FIRST. Or at least having a plan. And no,'hoping everything works out' is not a plan.

Yes, really. No read English too good?

I guess you need a civics lesson. You see, private business is very different from government. I know you claim to be ignorant, but ignorance is not a good excuse for spouting off like a jack rabbit in heat.

"Hoping everything works out" is a good plan. Optimism raises mankind over worms in the mud, where you would prefer to wallow. You need to understand how government budgets are vastly different than your next car purchase.

And get over it already! It's just a choo choo. Golly whiz.

Are you stupid or something? The tracks go right past Cabrillo College on the other side of Hwy 1. You can throw rocks at the trains from the soccer field.
Who are all these people that judged your post brilliant and interesting? Your all a bunch of negative, naughty, no nothings.
So, how do the "hundreds" of students get from the other side of Highway One to Cabrillo? Shuttle buses? walk? bike? and how do they get to the train station to start their rail adventure? How much will they pay - or how much will taxpayers subsidize they tickets & shuttle buses? "The are you stupid or something" & "throw rocks at the trains from the soccer field" are very funny. Google maps the distance - quite an arm, Make Believe, & perfect name choice!

All of the above Jimbo. And by the way, walking is free. I'm changing my name from Make Believe to Strong Arm. Haha.

You scare mongers are forgetting the best part of the deal -- it's FREE MONEY so duh! Hooray for the wealth, generosity and sensible budget planning of the CA Legislature! Anyway we NEED a train because, uh, trains are neat! Stand by for proposal to build a new resort development at 4-mile.
