I would gladly purchase fairly-priced items of decent quality. I'm sick of the only stuff on the store shelves being cheap crap from China, and knowing our money is funding a communist regime. Yes folks, often forgotten or never even known by today's dumbed-down consumer, China, previously known as "Red China", is a communist regime that oppresses its population and treats dissidents in a brutal manner. And they supply almost ALL of U.S. consumer products, and every time we purchase something we further their economy. Let's hope we start seeing a growing legion of purchase alternatives such as FTOs.

Screw "fair trade". I'm headed to Wal-Mart, K-Mart and Target for the bargains! Quality from China is better than crap made in the US and Mexico!

Let the politicians deal with Chinese politics. US consumers are doling out their dose of fair trade to retailers. We are all voting with our hard earned dollars for lower cost goods from efficient Chinese factories. Anyone who has traveled to well developed economic centers of China realizes they are far more capitalistic than socialist US.

I say boycott over priced US made and "fair trade" goods. We as consumers owe it to ourselves to reward effcient means of production rather than falsely propping up inefficient production.

This silly fair trade store wont last even in socialist heaven Santa Cruz. Dirty little secret. Even poor socialists wont support a store like this one when they can get goods of similar quality for a 1/4 of the price.

I've been to South Africa and have seen the way the people live. I know you can make a difference in people's lives when you give them the motivation to produce products and contribute to their livelihood. Keep up the good work.
