5940 Soquel Avenue is the spot to develop and it would remove the thieving tow companies. Kill two birds with one stone.

Why not simply unincorporate santa cruz city just like HMB is considering. That way the sheriff would be right smack dab in the middle of the cow patty.

Alternatively - you could contract out all santa cruz city police to the county sheriff and give them the SC city police headquarters.

Or invest millions of dollars into a new facility in the middle of the state/county/cities biggest fiscal crisis ever! Oh, maybe its just not that bad afterall.

This is So needed. The "temporary" county building office is a joke. I did work there and was surprised how bad it was. If you want Law Enforcement to work, give them the tools at the job site. Mid-county with labs, morgue, garage and communications.
