We as a community are happy with Mr.Smith as our Police Officer we only wish he was FULL-TIME. As for the complaints, being a Police Officer will not win any popularity contest! Big factor- look at the sources-especially the one complaining about his father driving through a closed road where children and people were having a walk a thon- a arrogant person that has to get his own way all the time or he goes ballistic. We know people lie especially when they don't get their way. Scary, even the DA seems to be against the Officer.Could it be that one of the complainants have relation or friends involved in higher places "County"?

We have the same type of power-hungry control-freak cop in Mifflinburg: Michele Foose

She's already been brought up on Federal charges for tasing an old man in Buffalo Valley Shopping Center.

The borough had to pay out 28,000 dollars to the poor guy for her abuse. The court found he did nothing illegal. But guess what? Yep, she still has her job---corruption!

I close by saying one thing someday it may be you in the same situation but as far as my ticket goes make sure you have gas money to leave your squad car running and ask for a raise with the price of oil going up you may have to switch to mousse or gel with your Barney Fife dapper dan hairdo. A little fyi you should be charged by the fashion police! You are a gutless coward hiding behind a badge! If you want to fight go to your local recruiter sign on the line raise your right hand and swear to defend the constitution,be issued a weapon and go stand a post be ready to deploy it moments notice. Do keep one thing in mind I hope as you're on the way to a good friends funeral you too meet the same arrogant prick that throws the book at you and bloodies your nose!
PA has a huge, and I mean HUGE problem with arrogant, uneducated, provincial, vindictive, power abusing cops! When you travel in PA, be prepared to leave your expectations of civil liberties, decency, common sense, and fairness at home. No wonder PA's economy is so desperate, they place too much emphasis on respecting ignorant authority figures which makes most people and businesses flee the state.

I never had any problems with the cops in Mifflinburg, Middleburg, Selinsgrove, Lewisburg, Sunbury, or East Buffalo Township. Funny how the complainers are the ones who committed the infraction in the first place.

I totally agree! The ones complaining have been cited/arrested and I know for a fact that over half that posted is a low life the constant trouble with the law type. Two are relatives of one of the complainants. FACT: the one complainant that said "if something isn't done with him "the Officer" their would be bloodshed", his daughter in law is Snyder District Attorneys secretary. Now I wonder how this got to the newspaper and all blown up...Glad this was resolved and now people know the ones that complained were arrested and some cited "traffic". Check it out, public knowledge people, I know it is easier to cock off than know your facts.

You are a arrogant gutless a**h**e. This man did serve and fight, what about you big mouth? I cant believe that a scumbag like you can have his post on here and not have it removed. Gutless is a person who bashes and does just what you did. You are a crybaby. OBEY the law and suck it up. Or move to Iran!

Oh one last BIG detail! Local municipalities use a few different speed clocking devices such as VASCAR, they have to give you 9MPH over before they can even pursue you. IF you were wrote for 3-4 MPH over then the Officer reduced your actual speed and gave you a break. TO BAD FOR THAT. You quote "I hope as you're on the way to a good friends funeral", you are one sick SOB and a liar, any law enforcement officer such as myself knows exactly what took place here and you think you will pull off this rant and have respectable people believe you? I work for a large department and have a only a few occasions to be with Smith on a business level and he was very professional and treated the public exceptionally well.

There should be a "town meeting" held and let the residents and this man's current boss and it' should be decided fair and square after all the allegations and defenses are heard.by the "people" that live in that "jurisdiction". Good cops wouldnt' worry about it either a peoples judging them only the A-hole ones.

People stand up and keep persuing what you believe in. Stick together.
