is time to quit drilling oil .is like mother earth is telling us something always wonder what is replacing that empty space? after they drill. oil is all over the roads many people they just dump the used oil in the trash. into rivers. no control of who can buy oil at auto stores. will be a good idea if the native indians have control aver all. like they just to do. clean air clean water just to take what they need to eat

I wonder where else these tar balls could have come from if not from the oil spill.

I hate to burst your bubble, but the roads are made from petro products in the first place. The computer that you are using to read this has some form of plastic in it's construction (made from petro products). That credit card in your wallet is made from plastic, your office chair, soft drink and water bottles, It's a great theory, but you're gonna have to give up much more than gas and oil because plastics and polymers are made from petro chemicals also.

George I'm glad you are giving up oil. That will be at least one less car on the road not to mention all the things related to oil(plastics etc) that will be saved. Chances are that your electricity is generated with some type oil too so I guess you are off the grid.
We can't let one mistake keep us from drilling for our own oil. The more we drill the less we buy from terror supporting countries . If we don't drill for it other countries will(for example China may start drilling off Cuba which is only 90 miles from Key West for oil and carring it back to China).
This is the first major accident with a oil platform since 1969. To me thats a pretty good record.

george agillon should be made to walk. notjustgas has it dead on. We should work to wean ourselves off of oil, not just jump off the deep end. I still want george and obama and gore to walk. george would have a hard time living off the land like the native americans. Oil goes in the tractors that feeds george.

More garbage reporting from WHNT. Why even report this until they can verify it's from the oil spill?

This makes me so sick I can hardly talk about it! One of many companies that have took most all of our money over the past thirty years are now destroying what little we have left to enjoy. They should be brought to their knees along with the rest of the crooks. They should be put out of business!!!!!!

Yes they have taken our money and have made good profits. So, exactly what makes you think they would all of a sudden want to change that. Do you think they would purposely want this to happen? Loss of life and enviromental disaster? Not good for the profit margin! Accidents happen and they will probably lose their butts, not going to change any of the far reaching effects of this!
