We drove down to the beach on Dauphin Island after a trip to Mobile this past week. We saw hundreds of jellyfish in the water. My daughter counted over 100 within ten minutes of being there. We've been to the AL and FL gulf coast numerous times, but this was the first time we had ever seen so many jellyfish.
Was this caused by Hurricane Dolly?
Dauphin Island was beautiful and we still had a nice time even though we decided not to swim. We loved visiting the sea lab and Fort Gaines too.

We were there July 12-19. We saw a couple. One was really big. Otherwise, it was a lovely vacation.

All the jellyfish are dead now.
