Ok, I have a ridiculously painful heel spur. I am seeing a podiatrist and am in a walking cast.

I am on ketaprofin and neurotonin for the pain, but having a job where I am on my feet all day and being a single mom of two kids, I am not having any relief. Have also tried cortisone shots in my heel. I stretch it, ice it, and heat it religiously. My boyfriend massages it nightly.

Any ideas to help are welcomed! Even thinking about a new doc as I have not even had X-rays.

I am exhausted and an emotional wreck. It has been 3 weeks. No relief.

My mom has been fighting that for over a year recently she decided to cut an ankle support and then put it on her feet as like a stuff ace bandage.. It holds her foot in place and relieves the pain. She did the boot, physical therapy, meds, etc nothing works

I had one and could hardly walk. Call Jim Roll he is on Sherman off of Diamond Ave. I had a heel spur and could hardly walk. Jim got me back to normal in a couple of treatments.

Saw a diff doc today. X-rays and taped me up. Put me on more fing steroids. Refused to give me anything for pain. Even said he didn't want me taking Tylenol or ibuprofen!! WTF??? Said I will be in walking boot and dealing with pain for MONTHS!

Pain is debilitating. Job requires me to be on feet all day and have 2 kids and a house to take care of at night.

Feeling desperate. Anyone have advice as to where I can go to get pain meds until this goes away? Not a pain pill addict or junkie, but damn, need to function until this crap is healed. Don't want to buy them from people and want to stay within the law. Hate to go against doc's advice, but surely a doc out there who can sympathize.

Advil is about as good for this as a script. Most doctors won't prescribe meds for that because it isn't seen as a big deal I guess...my mother ended up even getting a handicap parking thing it got so bad
