I dont feel entitled, I shouldnt say that, but I do think I have earned the right to get help, thats what its there for. I cannot wait til theY drug test for benefits, that is a fabulous idea. Whover started this post is the trash, its why IS everyone idiot. Everything gets turned into race and its so old, who gives a flying duck who the majority is? And `sho nuff`, its probably better if you dont speak, you sound dumb. To those abusing the system, have fun trying to feed your kids when the food stamps are gone and you can no longer sale them since you need them so bad.

Again, I have yet to stand at the checkout and see a person really in need using an EBT card. It is always the lazy with their disrespectful, out of control brats.

the percent of blacks on foodstamps are 30% while whites are 40%. But the united states is 80% white and 12% black. So there is only 10% more whites than blacks on food stamps. Yet the country's white population is 70% more whites than blacks. white people out number blacks 8 to 1. So while there is more white people on food stamps than there are black people. There are few of the white population getting foodstamps. While the majority of blackpeople are getting food stamps

Not to be funny or anything but I've been seeing alot of post comments etc about foodstamps and stuff and it sounds to me as if ppl are kinda jealous or mad because they either can't get or because basically they have to pay for their food or medical or something....alot of ppl don't realize ppl work on assistance me myself I only get Medicaid for me and my daughter I don't get foodstamps or the welfare check now I do buy cards off of ppl but hey if u could I'm sure u would as well can't beat 100 for 200 bucks worth of food....I just think its ignorant to talk down on ppl that's getting the help just because u cant
umm yes people are jealous! It isn't fair that some work their a$$es off for what they have and others are driving in brand new cars, coach purses, ect. and go to the grocery store and pull out an EBT card! Actually it's quite sickening!

doctor visits are expensive for one and ive worked and paid taxes since i was 14 so yea i am entitled as a taxpayer to some assistance when needed one day you may need help too so think about what you say and if the country goes broke i will pay for it until then i will use it thank you
then obviously this isn't about you! It's about the people that sit on their a$$es all day and do nothing while having free rent, food, and health insurance and never plan on working. It's ok though, one day they won't have dependents or any kind of SS to draw when they will actually NEED it!

The bad thing is they don't have to piss in a bottle to pass a drug test to get them!
But if you get a job you have to take a drug test to show you are clean !
This government has it all screwed up !

Have you ever thought to play a role that influences teens to take more pride in their future and their education and not have sex at least without taking precautions to not bring kids in the world they can't take care of? I think that'd be a lot better than demeaning them even further on a site like this one. I'm black, 26 and because i was aware of the stereotype that young black women are more likely to have babies young and live off gov't asssistance, I managed to make it through high school with no kids, because I was RESPONSIBLE and smart..and I try to influence teen girls around me to be the same way...this is not the forum to discuss this if you really have a problem...

You are a bigot. Who are you to tell others how to spend their money? Who are you to decide if others can't go out and have some fun? You are just jealous because people like me are just using a little assistance in getting back on our feet. You owe people like me.

I know people and myself hate seeing a mom or dad at the checkout line paying for their things in EBT but then I look down and and see a innocent child/children with them. Just think yea their parents do drugs and make it known but though children would starve or live off Beanie weenies if their parents didn't get them because their drugs are more important then feeding or taking them to the doctor when needed. Yes its sad and I'm not all for it but I'm not against it either for the children sakes. Wake up people and see it from a child's eyes. My tax dollars help keep children feed and healthly while their parents chose to not care. Most of though children wear ragy clothes and shoes everyday and rarely get a bath. So stop being so selfish because you don't know anyones real story behind closed doors!

I did. Good for you to try and make a difference. Kids and teens need to learn early on what they can make with their lives. The poverty cycle can be broken but they have to see different role models. I hope you do impact our future generation.
