It's not a homeless shelter it's low income project housing, you obviously have internet so look up the number. Call eha's main office

Um...no its not. My sister moved in last week and she is not disabled. Single mom with three kids and works a full time job. Its low income housing through EHA.

Um yes it is. Go pick up an application. The form your doctor has to sign is attached. Just because your sis failed to mention that part doesn't make if true. Make a call or go pick up an app and get actual information before you run your mouth.

I was gonna tell you to stop running your damn mouth about something you obviously know nothing about but looks like you beat me to it...shame on me for deciding to be the bigger person. Anyway, I took her to get the application and was right there with her when she filled it out and turned it in. I read the whole damn thing and there was nothing for her to take to her damn doctor. Its low income project housing just like other EHA residences. She had to wait a while before she got a call but she finally did. So happy for her. I'm not sure why you think you know so much but maybe you are the one who should check your facts dumbass. You're probably just mad because your lazy ass couldnt get in. Being disabled isn't a requirement for living there but if you try to say that you are disabled, then yes, you will need documentation to back that up.

"It happened that Vision 1505, Aurora’s first permanent supportive housing project for families with disabilities, had just opened in early January"

That's from the courier and press. Or you could just call up there and ask them and they will tell you the same thing. Please stop misinforming people. All you have to do is use google or make a simple phone call to see that you are wrong

Vision 1505 is a new housing project being undertaken by a partnership between the Evansville Housing Authority and Aurora, Inc. to provide permanent supportive housing for homeless families. The project involves the renovation and rehabilitation of former Vanderburgh County Corrections Safe House at 1505 N.W. Third Ave into new energy efficient one, two and three bedroom apartments.

The new property will be designed to blend with existing single-family residences in the neighborhood. It will also include green/sustainable features including very high efficiency heating and cooling systems, green space for resident use including room for community garden, rain barrels for irrigation of garden area, pervious pavement, recycle center in community room. Other project amenities include hardwood floors in many areas, elevator, and numerous covered parking spaces

Vision 1505 will be operated on a “Housing First” model, offering supportive services on-site and making outside referrals as needed.
