I feel as if everyone in the room has an equal chance of having a conversation with me. Im not going to go out of mh way to be someone's friend just because they are black. White people are cool to talk to too. However, I have noticed that if there are a handful of black people in a room they will come together. This is Evansville so more than likely they already know each other.
I love observing people and unfortunately the group that flocks together will be loud and disruptive because they are over there talking about people. It is what black people do, especially black women. It's fun to clown around but when your in a professional environment you can not call someone an "uncle tom" because they do not want to be a part of that group. Clowning is fun but when some people are at work or school they like to be fully focused. It is easy to be distracted by the he said she said, drama, and foolishness that normally comes along with cliques at work or school. Black or white.
You should choose the people you talk to by the thoughts and values that you have in common. Not by skin color.

Why would you hang out with anyone that you feel you have to impress? How about being yourself and if you feel you cannot be, don't hang out in those social groups. People try and make things harder than they have to be.
