Be honest, don't blow smoke if you don't even work there.

Good place to work! As far as the negative comments, that is what this site is about. I have had patient tell me St. Mary's almost killed them. As far as pay, I think St. Mary's pays a little more.

Victim of poverty!? Lmao!! Victim of lazy and don't want to work you mean?? Your probably a drug seeker anyways. You know if you are, your probably flagged in the computers as a drug seeker. Telling you to take aspirin is probably because your scummy ass was just fine.

My husband went there after an accident and was given every test under the sun without insurance, he was admitted 4 days one time and 3 days another. He did have high hospital bills but they worked with him to pay them. So I don't believe that you were turned away.

As far as working there I've heard St Mary's pays more but have heard Deaconess is a better place to work.

Actually I say the opposite. It depends on what position you are applying for. As an RN you make more at deaconess and from what I've heard it's pretty much that way with every profession. Deaconess pays better but will throw their workers to the wolves. Stmarys is a great place to work.

'Idiot', I don't care. I can tell by you lack of punctuation and grammar you're a 'dumbass'. I'm not the one that called you a drug seeker. But if the shoe fits.. Which I'm going to assume its your size.

I work at Deaconess(non-clinical) the pay is okay. They treat their workers great, and they do not turn anyone away. But of course our records are electronic so if you are lying about what you take and if you are flagged as a drug seaker, of course, We are the bad people. Not one department is better than the other and we are all treated the same.

Depends on what department you work in . I worked there for 2 years about 6-7 yeara ago and pay wasn't anything great . Would of took 7 years to make top pay for the position I was in , which was around $12.50/hour . Benefits and insurance were good , but nothing great . Director of hospital is Linda White whose salary is over $1,000,000 and year compared to the director of St.Marys who's is over $300k a year. They had "project excellence" in effect when I was there which was basically them just laying off/firing a bunch of people. My reason for leaving was I got fed up with management in my department. Haven't looked back since I left. Every place of employment has its ups and downs tho.
