Well Rogers teaches you how to be yourself and not judge your there to inspire and help people feel better about themselves. Me personally I wouldn't go to either one tspa or regency for the simple fact they don't even have to know you if you walk in and you don't fit their standards you automatically get a ugly look. I understand that they want to teach you what it's like to work in a very professional environment but I would rather go where I feel welcome. And they aren't trash enough if they are still getting business. And people are bad sports there i watched a girl from there rip a flier out of her friends hand throw it on the ground and spit on it because it was a Rogers flier how childish can you get

TSPA & Regency are full of stuck up fake bitches. Roger's is obviously doing something right considering how long it's been around. You don't get judged there, everyone will accept you (whether you are like or not), & the instructors are more your friends than teachers (at least at the west location).
& for anyone thinking about going to Roger's, there is going to be a hair show contest April 14th & if you participate, you could win something VERY useful! Must be at least 16.
& all money raised goes to Riley's.

Does TSPA or Regency do that?...nope!

Tspa is full of "supposedly stuck up bitches" because it cost a little more. It's a professional setting with lots of diversity. Rogers and regency are great schools but TSPA is professional and strict

I go to regency n love it. I'm not rich nor stuck up. We have instructors that came from tspa and they came because they didn't like it there so if that tells u anything.

I just graduated from Rogers and I loved it. Of course ur gonna have drama at any of the schools bcuz its a building full of women of all ages. The instructors r very nice. Rogers is far from trashy its just an old building since the west side has been open for over 20 years. Which I guess means they r doing something right. That's y I chose Rogers west bcuz they have lasted so long.

I would tell everyone to go to Regency, or Rogers my daughter went to the salon professional academy and at first she loved it, but shortly after that she hated it! I was told that the graduation rate was over 90 something percent, I believe this to be untrue. A lot of other students she went with didn't graduate. She went there for a short while and now we're over 5,000 easy in debt. Don't buy into all their hype!

I graduated from beauty school (which probably 50% of people posting didn't do) and work in a salon (90% posting probably dont) and I went to Regency. I wouldn't recommend going g unless you have a real passion for hair because the job market is not what they tell you it is. Regency expects perfect attendance so if you aren't ready to devote your time and energy don't bother wasting your or your parents money. The better educators from tspa are now at regency and that's excluding the one that is married and gets on his students at tspa. Most of the "mean" stuck up girls from my high school went to tspa. So if you're that type go ahead. I have heard from a friend that went to rogers that her entire class dropped out except one person and that they don't provide everything they should: example instead of having a rolling color tray my friend had to flip over a trashcan and.set her color bowl on that. Um no thanks. I would say regency and tapa are a cut above rogers but the student body at both is very different so the best way to see is look for yourself.

As a salon owner, and a former manager of 2 other salons, I have found that students who go to Roger's and Regency are most prepared for real world salon work. I have hired graduates from all schools, and have eventually had to let go almost every TSPA graduate I ever hired. TSPA is very good for nails, but in my experience, TSPA students are missing basic techniques to consistently do a clean, consistent haircut. Many of their students seem to get overlooked when learning basic cutting techniques, and need much more special attention and training than graduates of other beauty schools. Color education is very good in all schools, but that only gets you so far. A good colorist is worthless if they finish their work with a haircut that is a chopped up mess.

My daughter just graduated from tspa and I agree with you. It was drama as well and they change The rules all the time. They also hardly got any discounts on their own hair which was not the case when she started.

Several very rude instructors as well. She complained a lot that she felt she was not given enough instruction

Rogers is the best school in the tri-state. The west location has been open for over 30 years & Roger also had some of the top salons around here. It has also become a Sassoon Academy, so if you really want an excellent education, it is the BEST choice, in my opinion.
I know people that went to TSPA & can't even do a fade... that should tell you something...

I went to tspa and the reason they get so much hate is because they are the best. They push you to be the best and don't let you slack at all which is far from Rogers standards. They require higher grades cause they want you to succeed and have no trouble passing your license exam. Your going to find drama anywhere you go and I'm far from a rich snob. I had loans and am still paying them off. If I didn't go there I would've picked Recency however never Rogers.

We hired a tspa girl and she had a meltdown trying to do a simple fade on a man and quit after being employed for a week. Tspa is really good at making you think you're ready to work in A salon but they can't cut men's hair unless its scissors all over which 90% of men don't want. Also they all get jobs because the tspa educators and owners are also salon owners so if the teachers like you, you can land a job you dont deserve while more qualified applicants get shafted because they went to a different school. The salons that only hire tspa grads are old town, beaux cheveaux, salon W.O.W., Klein's, ect so don't waste your time applying there ntm the owner of old town is married with a baby but loves young girls...and he is a teacher at tspa or he was and I know he had a thing with a current esthetics student. So yes, tspa girls DO think they are better because they have unfair advantages and hey pay more.
