I find it unlikely that with as many people that go to this website to gossip, not a single one has applied and taken the assessment. Maybe they don't care about helping with questions unless it is to bash someone. Good luck.

The computer part is a little math comprehnsion, a little common sense, and a whole bunch of questions about working in a team environmnent. The 8 hr simulated work day consists of lifting 10 and 20 lb weights to a certain position on a wall, then, simulated welding, the last was hooking up some cables in the shell of a vehicle and riveting and unriveting bolts. The weight wall was the worst. Your legs will hurt after about an hour even if you are in shape. Good luck. It's all about safety.

It's simulated(fake). It is not real. There is nothing to it. I did it and I am 45 yrs old and not in the best shape. YOu can do it. Follow the directions very closely. Listen to them and don't rush it.

Your legs are gonna hurt alright..more after you get the job from holding them up by your ears.. Toyota is full of unfaithful married men and sluts...everyone is screwing each other, mostly affairs. Get ready to be involved and/or part of the soap opera

They do have a high rate of carpal tunnel and other injuries to shoulders, wrists, and hands. Just have to be careful. Alot of jobs have downfalls but atleast they pay you to be off and for your surgery.

If you pass the eight hour workday then you come back for an interview after that right? Then if you make it past the interview what are the next steps? Do they ask for an application or a resume or do reference checks? I was thinking is was something like assessment, 8 hour day, interview, back ground check, physical....but I don't know for sure.

The physical is almost as bad as the work day. They do all sorts of things like ask you to push a cart with weights on it till you can't anymore and some other craziness. Hair folicle test for drugs. Some people still didn't get on even after they passed everything. I passed everything and they haven't called. It's a lengthy process. Usually takes 4-8 weeks. Good luck

How long is it between 8 hr day and physical, of course assuming you pass the interview, back ground check, etc.? Other than that, is there anything they do after the interview and before the physical other than the background check?

If you get past the interview, then the physical should come pretty quick. Other than the background check, not much else to do but wait. It is a waiting game. If you are young and in shape, you shouldn't have any problems. I have known a few people who have passed everything but not gotten called. I am 45 so I think it might be my age. I totally understand. They want someone who will stay 10+ yrs. I may not make it at their pace for that long. If you do get on, it will be atleast a year before you get a letter from toyota unless you are just the best worker they have ever seen. All together it's about 4-6 weeks depending on if you are able to get everything done quickly.

So you don't fill out an application and they don't do reference checks? That is crazy, but hey, if that's what they do, who am I to judge? I also heard that aerogel has a 6 year contract with Toyota. Does anyone know if that was 6 years from the start date of the aerotek/Toyota business agreement or is it that if aerogel hires you, the longest you would be a temp is 6 years, then you either get hired or fired.

It's 6 years from your start date. And no one knows what happens after 6 cause no one is close to being there that long yet.

YOu do fill out an application. I did. I don't know if they do reference checks, I didn't ask any of my references. I know they do background checks pretty thoroughly.

Does Aerotek drug test the same day as the 2 day assessment? If not when will they conduct the drug testing portion of the process?

It doesn't matter. They can go back to a year on hair follicles.
