As the former state caretaker of this facility for the last 13 years I too have bittersweet feelings. while the closure cost me my job, I am pleased to see a communitys support of both the armory and the units that have occupied it rewarded in such a generous manner. The citizens of Darlington have an oppourtunity that no other town in Montgomery county has. I wish them the best and will always consider Darlington my home away from home.
