Oh no!! An outbreak!?!? A dog died? Has this happened at the shelters too? Aren't you the same person that was saying they get 2 shots a day, plus nonstop antibiotics, etc and it was a travesty? You make nothing but assumptions based on your perception of what things SHOULD be like, but ignore those testy little things called FACTS. Someone got a sick dog. Two people got a sick dog. It sucks. But none of you mouth breathers have presented anything more than anecdotes to support your decision to try and destroy some company that, for all you know, cares about their customers and animals. No, I do not work for a pet company, its just disgusting when people hurl allegations and nonsense with no proof whatsoever other than they had a bad experience, so the whole thing must be a sham.

Daisy would you please email me at nopuppymills226@gmail.com? I would love to explain an option you have. Did you see the channel 7 news on Janauary 18th. at 6:00? The HSUS sent out a press release stating that there was an outbreak of distemper from this store. Deadly and contagious. One dog has died already. They said it was in the Naperville and Downers Grove stores, but they take the dogs back and forth from all the stores. All of these stores should be shut down.

Happiness is pets is shakin' in their booties right now and all their "little followers" are coming out because guess what? The National News now has the truth out there. Bye bye happiness is pets. There will be story tomorrow in the Chicago Tribune and that my friend is the beginning of the end.

You are just mad that you bought a dog there.

Class Action Lawsuit against happiness is a puppy mill filed on 2-14-2012. If anyone has been sold a sick or dying dog from this horrific place, please go to www.caps-web.org and fill out the complaint form. We will then contact the attorney and you can join the lawsuit, no cost to you. Thank you! The dogs that are being abused can't speak up, but you can! Google happiness is pets lawsuit, and happiness is pets distemper and you'll see the truth that is finally coming out.

Class action lawsuits take years. If you win you get peanuts. the lawyers get it all. What a joke.

A business has insurance. If there is a claim the insurance pays and the business is protected. The insurance co then raises rates to policy holders. So in the end, it screws all policy holders.

The link has nothing to do with any class action.

We are dog lovers. We have had dogs from private breeders and from pet stores. Both dogs from private breeders had health issues--one epilepsy, the other hip displasia. All the dogs that we purchased through Happiness Is Pets (4) have been healthy and loving members of our family. Now,I am not saying that they do not come from puppy mills; who is to say FACTUALLY? What I am saying is that the mills should be the target. To advocate not to buy from a pet store is "sentencing" these innocent creatures to death- for what purpose? The solution is simple. Government needs to take an active role in regulating breeding. It is not too difficult--they regulate everything else. Those who do not meet qualifications should be shut down and penalized with fines, and/ or prison. Stores that acquire their animals from these places should face the same consequences. If we can regulate our factories, schools, hospitals, etc., why can we not regulate this? Breeders need to be licensed. They should prove that they meet the high standards of the humane society. I do not see that this is an impossibility. Pet lovers need to unite efforts to serve this goal, rather than make people feel guilty for buying a pet that needs their love!
