Hey Rain man Enjoy the rain today. Rats now the grass will grow and i will have to cut it (saved money all summer by not having to fire up the ole briggs and stratton powered american made mower). Good thing I salvaged a hand mower from a garage sale ten years ago. Elections are coming and it's time get that obamination out of the white house. He and the misses can have a yard sale , maybe they got one of them sweet fancy rider mowers they will want to sell on the way out the door??? Got me $44 in the change jar and five more months to save !

Obama is an ass--all he is thinking about now is getting re-elected He could care less about the gas prices or the violence all over chicago . I do not care for the other ass Romney either-- What we need is a smart woman in the white house--

Anybody but the windbag obama. I'll try Mitt for four years and hope for the best. We have to get the people this country back to work. 10% plus unemployment for 3 plus years is unacceptable for anyone in the white house. the real u number is close to 16-20% with so many just giving up. By the way Gas $4.22 for 89 octane.

$4.28 per gallon Pat Quinn and the Chicago machine laugh at the new largesse in tax money generated by the increase in prices. Now they can tout more wasteful projects for the Madigan controlled stooges in the general assembly. Instead of paying down the huge state debt they will use this money for political gain.

So Here we are at the edge of insanity. PLEASE someone explain why gas is $4.25 a gallon and the President is DOING NOTHING. He and his policies must be held accountable. He is to blame as much as anyone in this supply issue.

Please people, educate yourselves on how gas pricing works...http://auto.howstuffwo rks.com/fuel-efficiency/fuel-c onsumption/gas-price.htm

I feel the crunch at the pump too, but I didn't blame President Bush or President Obama. I did my research.

Almost Everyone blamed Bush. The whole economic mess was his fault according to obama clinton and their clownish economic wonks. Look back at the comments made four years ago. Obama is it be held accountable regardless of the pricing and the markets trends. Open up US supply possibilities and reserves and correct the gas production restrictions. $4.35 is ridiculous amount to pay for a gallon of refined petrol. Remove barriers to gas production on refineries and allow for expansion with out HUGE EPA restrictions. We don't have a oil issue we have a Gas supply issue. Also STOP the government subsidies on smart cars and see how much they cost to produce. I would bet you and most others would not be buying a flex/battery operated car for $49,000 which is the average cost with out the subsidies. Nice Fuel efficient cars are available for $15-30,00. Dump the subsidies for wind farms too they clutter the sky line and will be another failure in 15-20 years when they are to costly to repair with out the government propping them up. Scrap metal and eye sores coming your way.

Well here you have IT. 4 years ago gas was $2.22 for premium now its $4.32. BIG O was riding a wave of Idolatry from the Idiocracy. Now his star has fallen and his failing economic policies have saddled the next two/three generations with $16,000,000,000,000 Trillion in DEBT... THE REAL UNEMPLOYMENT in the USA is now 11-14% when counting the folks drop off the rolls its even worse. The US is now no different economically than most of those failing socialistic euro countries that used to look to the America for help. Its every country for its self.

The President and the Treasury do actually control a Major aspect of the Dollar. THEY print money and can control the supply of it. The President has oversight of the Treasury Dept thus has control over the printing of money

Its Like Magic The price of gas has dropped 40 cents in a week RIGHT BEFORE THE ELECTION Wow Don't tell me the president cant have influence. Sorry Barry OB i already voted and it was not for YOU. Romney at least has a business back ground and not a history of community organizing and a legacy of un matched debt for our country. You had your chance and didn't get it right . Now go work for the UN where your socialist programs will be welcomed

I can't believe how idiotic some of you people are and how short your memories are. The reason gas prices were so low when Obama took office is because the economy was in the toilet. You act like gas prices were like that throughout the Bush years. Far from it folks. But don't take my word for it.

Go to this link and click on the gas prices chart for the last 8 years.

And then, just stop with the BS.

As I was buying gas today at $3.15 a gallon, I got to wondering what all the outraged, blame Obama trolls were doing. Perhaps, there out buying the latest Time magazine to find out who the Person of the Year is going to be?

Spoiler alert: It ain't Mitt Romney!

Funny thing... The very same people who said "its not Obamas fault gas is high", not says it is because of him that it went down. Still WAY above where it was when he first took office....

We're saying that to show how hypocritical you people are. If you blame him when it goes up, you have to give him credit it when it goes down.

And the reason it is still way above what it was when he first took office is because when he first took office the economy was in the TANK. As was your 401K and the stock market and just about every other aspect of the American economy. All those things are doing far better thanks to President Obama not that you idiots will ever realize that or give him credit for it.

The Big O has Not helped in any way to control the cost of fuel to the common citizen. Magically the price went down before the election then SHAZAM Here comes that sucking sound again, its the tax man wanting his cut of your money via a price increase Quinn and O are in lock step...Gas will go up steadily so you can start thinking about that government subsidized car again.

You're right about one thing. The president does not control the cost of fuel. Not when it goes up and not when it goes down.

It's called the free market economy, brainiac. I thought that was the be all and end all for you guys.
