Why are public works employees putting up signs for John Noak? Isn't that a conflict of intgerest?

Your very misinformed. I personally know everyone out putting up signs this weekend. And not one public works worker on duty was putting up signs. Nice try gail. You tried this four years ago with your campaign. Heres one where is your candidate at uhm pre occupied with football just like he would be if he was mayor

If they are doing it on their own time then there is no conflict. If they are using village cars and working then there is a problem. If you believe this to be the case, take some pictures of it happening or have an employee write an affidavit to that effect. Otherwise there is no reason to even make the post without proof.

You really should take your meds. So the Mongo's restauraunt food delivery guys that are harassing customers is ok? Or intimidating people who need food donations to take Mongo signs or not get food is ok? Or screaming at people who are smart enough to switch signs because they were never voting for Mongo n the first place is ok? Really take your meds before you get arrested again.

Just who has John bullied? Why bring up any of this without proof? This is not the X-Files. John will not be replaced. The educated people in this town will vote in their best interest and it IS NOT MCMICHEAL!

First, I did not say the incident took place this past weekend. The incident took place on Route 53 about 2 weeks ago in the early evening. I happened to notice it when I was coming home from work.

Second, I am new to the area so my first question to you is...Who the hell is Gail?

Lastly, whether your the sitting mayor or a candidate for the job...I believe everyone in the frickin country was pre-occupied with the Super Bowl...you dumb ass hick!

By your language you are exactly the type of people we are trying to get out of Romeoville. Why did you even move here? And not everyone is gaga for the superbowl. And if you just moved here how do you know it was a village employee putting up signs in the first place? Like I said before, if you believe this to be so, put in a formal complaint instead of whining about it here. Go to the papers. Investigate. Look up everything you can regarding all of the candidates and the company they keep. You will get quite an education.

I just moved here from Bolingbrook, undecided as far as mayor goes! Leaning towards Noak, sorry Steve, loved ya in a Bears uniform, but doesn't seem like the right fit. But like I said I am undecided, and would like to see a debate. When and where would this happen?
I concur

I agree with "Just a Thought". Prove that they were public works employees. Were they in uniform?, driving village vehicles?. Otherwise these are comments meant to slam and inflame with no base for proof. Even if they were public works employees. Thier work day usually ends by 4:00 so if it was in the evening they were most likely off duty. Don't drag good people into your mudpuddle.

I find it interesting to see so many Noak signs on abandoned property - the old 84 Lumber on Route 53/Joliet Road and the empty Lakewood Estates strip mall on Normantown Road, just to name two examples. I'm assuming his campaign is getting permission from the landowners or are they owned by banks?

Is there any way for a write-in candidate for Mayor? I'm really struggling with our options.

First there are signs at far more sites than just the ones you named and none of them are "abandoned". Just because a site isn't occupied at the moment doesn't mean it doesn't have an owner or broker. Second the restaurant that bares his opponents name now was vacant for years (before the village helped them reopen it)and Stravos gave candidates permission to put signs up all the time.

More interesting is the fact that Mongo is getting funding from companies that were violating village ordiances for years. Seems like if you don't want to reinvest in the community or you don't want to follow the rules or you have violated the law you flock to Mongo.
