Darien is a little town with a HUGE historical past. Think about French, Spanish, British and Indians all in this area, trying to stake their claim. There are the most beautiful churches and old homes. Unique accomodations, B&Bs and quiant inns. Great restaurants, everything from southern cuisine in a renovated older home to an eclectic menu served in a purple painted building. Lots of wonderful seafood places - serving the best shrimp ever put in your mouth - Wild Georgia Shrimp. Moss drapped Live Oaks. And sunsets over the marsh that take your breath away.

Love the "Purple Pickle". The chicken/waffle sandwich is great.
