Shane Bruce wrote: Anon Me, As I understand it, there are about 300 staffers at the Commissioner's Office. I'm guessing that 30 or so are high level appointee's, department chairs, special investigators, lawyers and other "consultants". If I am elected, those positions will be reviewed first and I expect quite a few will resign once the reign of John Oxendine is done. The rank and file employees who answer the phone, file the paperwork and actually get the work done will continue to do just that. Of any of the candidates currently running I think I'm the most aware that Georgia's insurance industry has to make a profit. I'm concerned that the industry's trend towards consolidation and the shift towards internet based service and marketing is going to kill off more than a few of Georgia's insurance agencies. The large firms are winning the negotiating war in the ObamaCare waiver pie fight and that's going leave a lot of Georgia's individual agencies and brokers SOL. I have as much banking experience as I have insurance agency experience. Zero, nada, nothing. I've had bank accounts and insurance policies all my life as a consumer, some experiences have been good, others not so much. Fortunately, if I am elected I'm pretty sure the brainpower I'll need to get the job done is out there on the open market and I will put it to work. Your honesty is refreshing. A good leader is able to surround himself with the experts that know how do get the job done the right way. The leader provides strategic direction, those he has selected execute the plan.

Poll Taker, As I understand Grifter, it translates as itinerant con man. I recall a George C. Scott movie that had that title. Arguably, any traditional politician is just that, say one thing, get elected, do another. I certainly have not had to deal with much temptation so far in this race as I am a Libertarian and automatically discounted as a viable candidate for office. It's obvious from the fund raising success of Ralph Hudgens that there are tremendous amounts of money floating around out there looking for people to influence. None of it's come sniffing around for me so far and I suspect it never will. If I get the job, I'll do the job. It's a habit I've had my entire life. I also have pretty clear ideas of whats right and whats wrong, I don't think that'll go out the window just because I got elected to public office. If it happens.

Do qualifications still matter? If so, Ralph Hudgens is the best candidate running. Also, no one should forget that hard core Libertarians, while some of their positions are laudible, are all staunchly pro-abortion. That is the one aspect of their party that has prevented me from every supporting a Libertarian. Otherwise, I might consider voting for one.

Mary is uniquely qualified for the position based on her work history and political experience. She works for the good of all people, not just the interests of Democrats.

No Libertarian can or will win a statewide office in Georgia. That is just a fact. Why waste a vote and allow an unqualified Obama democrat to walk into any statewide office? I will be voting for Ralph Hudgens.

Shane Bruce is a Libertarian in the lead. Unfortunately his campaign was that he had no experience and to send $19.95. Lets see who wins.
