My heart goes out to Christian and his family. I would like to help them as much as I possibly can, if there is any way I could? We also have a child with disabilities/special needs, so we definitely understand about having to fight for medical equipment and necessities.

She needs to contact an agency that can provide her and her grandson with case management services. There are several different avenues that a case manager can try and access for them.
Good Luck.

If you have a diagnosed developmental disabilty prior to the age of 21, there are many resources available. In fact, it's almost absurd what families can get state assistance for. I actually know a family who got a $20,000.00 addition to their home totally paid for.

You have to do a lot of "fighting" to get some help for some people with disabilities. Trust me from experience, it is not that easy to get things covered.
