It doesn't matter whether the school has testing set up because it takes up to 3 months for HIV antibodies to be present in the system. Any body that gets tested, their results will reflect their HIV status of 3 months ago. Anyone that has had contact with this woman should be tested for other STD's including HIV.

I have no idea why someone would do something like that...I mean, aren't people/prostitutes 'busy'? I mean, that's a promiscuous lady there...I'm not making any sense but they're busy...

I agree with the last post. There are plenty of positive things at Cheyney. Such as the results of 10 recent AIDS tests.
Robert Reed you are very ignorant. The students that made mistakes, did what humans do, they made mistakes. The mistake was very serious, which they are most definitely learning from. Some Cheyney students needs to learn about making better choices. And you, you need to learn to grow!

I am at Cheyney University as I type right now and I will be a Freshman come late August. Yes, Cheyney has some bad things said about the school but I still wanted to attend CU. EVERY school has something negative just waiting to happen. Just because certain things at different colleges aren't on the news and on the interent doesn't mean that nothing is happening. I always wanted to attend Cheyney and now I AM. So I won't let such little things keep me from fulfilling my dreams. For the students that had sex with the prostitute that is on THEM. That was their choice and so now they have to deal with the consequences. So, heard bad things about Cheyney? Hey, so be it. I have many family members who have graduated from CU and I'm here to keep the movement going. I AM A PROUD STUDENT CHEYNEY UNIVERSITY!

I am a PROUD graduate from Cheyney University. I graduated with honors and have a Master's degree in Public Administration from Central Michigan Universitty.I am now 25 yrs old residing in Atlanta, GA making great money as Project Coordinator working for the state of Georgia. Education is only as valuable you are, and if these students choose to go to school and engage in negative activities while living a destructive lifestyles than yes...there won't be any positive things to say about Cheyney. I, along with some my classmates valued our education and excelled in school...so we are some of the positives coming out of Cheyney. It is a sad thing to see that young people today do not values their lives or loves themselves enough to protect themselves.

I just can't feel sorry for people who are stupid enough to screw a prostitute - unprotected. Sorry, in my book they win "Darwin Awards", and hopefully they won't breed!

cheyney university is an great school and im an proud student and no matter what the media says about this school .I will still be dam happy to gradute but I will give back to the students and tell them this issue about aids can happen anywhere and don't believe think that the whole campus has aids because even men that are gay or women that are bi sexual can get aids too. So always practice safe sex or don't have sex at all and save it until you are married. In life you make your own choices they can be bad or good but you learn from them. media is so quick to come here for something bad happens or even when they kept coming last week and no would talk because the media is all up in our business and the wont
talk about the postive things for exapmle a student from cheyney wrote her own book and is publsied and last year we raised money for Katrina victims and we collect clothes for homeless ever year. We help feed homeless on thanksgving. Also, we help children in afterschool programs suchas:homework and talk to them about colloege. The NAACP has their own chapter now. So there is many postive things that happen but no one cares about it.
Perhaps you might consider changing schools, as it seems Cheyney has been unsuccessful in teaching you to spell, Angel! It's DAMN.

Cheyney, sad to say, is no place to be. As Martin pointed out, the graduation rate is abysmal (near the lowest IN THE NATION). The campus is a dump. The leadership is lacking - both at the administrative level and the student level. It's been that was for at least 30 years & unfortunately there are no signs of getting better. I don't know why anyone would choose to go there.

Ok so as far as the duh guy goes the way you are bashing cheyney I really want you to know about everyone that goes to cheyney. People learn in different manners so the way certain people absorbed the knowledge that is being given to them goes a long with the way they lean. I am a proud cheyney student and I do not appreciate the comments that you are making. And as far as the people who came in contact with the prostitute that was their decision so have sex with her their mistakes shouldn't reflect on the whole school simply because everyone did NOT have sex with her. On top of that they are all old enough to make their own decisions, unfortunately they made the wrong one!
