race is NOT an issue in Daphne's mayor race! Anybody who has lived in Daphne for a long time knows and loves Bailey Yelding! He was a coach and mentor to many students who are now adults! I would pick "Coach" over any recently moved-in yankee who thinks he is like Moses coming down from the mountain.
Yankees take note: We KNOW how it is up North! It is messed up and we KNOW why you moved doen here. We are not impressed that you came from up North. We do not see you as know-it-alls coming from the North with knowledge ut as refugees. So do not try to give us that old "I ran businesses up North for 40 years and I know how to do things."
You have broken your old homeland and we will NOT let you trash us down here!

Polwonk, I agree Bailey's a nice guy. However, you're confused about the other candidate for mayor. The other candidate, Derek Boulware is a Daphne city councilman from Alabama and has lived in Daphne for the past 12 years. Mr. Boulware is also a business man, former local banking executive an memeber of the Alabama Republican Party Executive Committee with a degree from the University of Alabama. Hope this clears the confusion.

So what other types of people do you hate? You have no problem having uninformed opinions about things you seem to know nothing about. So the Northerners are trying to trash you? People like you give the South the reputation of the so called stupid redneck. Maybe if you weren't so negative towards anyone different from yourself you would see diversity as an asset and not a problem. You may not like change, but that doesn't change the fact that things are changing and will continue to do so.

It's not about race. It's about who will do the best job. I'm so sick of people using the race card. I won't vote for anyone who supports abortion or same sex marriage reguardless of what color they are.

And he's running on a conservative forum, which, many believe, especially in the deep south, is a recipe for destruction. It drips of race insensitivities. He's running for mayor. He will be hated by many - and no mayor has been hated in Daphne sir - from day one. First on the agenda. Re-asphalt Bayside and Rock Creeks streets.

Sure you would. And one hundred million white voters say the same thing. Problem is, Obama is black. Bottomline.

Love it when people with borderline racial issues side step it with bogus "abortion" commentary.

Who cares about race? If a person is qualified, they are qualified!
