Its been almost a week since Harold Campings prediction of Judgment Day failed. But before we consign this prediction to the dustbin of history, we should pause to ask what we can learn from all this. As it happens, there is at least one very important lesson to be learned: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ac/20110524/cm_ac/852...

The "lesson" is "Know Your Spiritual Adviser" ... He didn't read his Scriptures ... there are only 2 Comings ... Jesus Birth and Jesus Triumphant Return ... there is no 'rapture' and a 3rd 'Coming'...

When in doubt ... go back to the the Upper Room and follow the Apostles ... straight to Rome ... or if you want to do it the hard way ... back track every denomination to its origin ... where the founder broke away from this or that denomination and this or that denomination broke off from some other denomination or group or some person thought God spoke only to him and everything prior to him was in error and you'll go directly back to the original Christian Church ... and doggone if you won't find yourself in Rome. The Catholic Church is the catholic and apostolic Church.
Every Christian trances his or her Christianity to Christ and Christ spoke to Peter as the head of His Church and gave Peter the 'keys'... the power to forgive sins or to retain them ... and by Apostolic succession, this right, this obligation, this mandate is handed down through the laying on of hands in the Catholic Church. The right/obligation/mandate is broken outside of the Catholic Church.
You can believe it or not, but in your heart of hearts, you know what I write is true.
And if you are offended by what I write, that in itself is proof that you're afraid to research to find out if what I write is true.
"You search the scriptures, because you think you have eternal life through them; even they testify on my behalf.
But you do not want to come to me to have life." (John 5:39-40)
‎"So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter." (2 Thes. 2:15)
"And what you have heard from me before many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also." (2 Tim. 2:2)
