a kid being hurt while with his church

i know a lil boy who went on a camping trip with his church and was hurt while he was their the church bus driver had hit this little boy with a stick and the stick broke across his backside..the parents went to the state police and they wont do anything about it they say that they dont see where their was any intent when man had also ask the little boys brother if he wanted some of it too when the lil boy tried to stop him..when he hit the little boy with the stick the little boy said that he got dizzy and was crying and hit the ground...so i am figuring that the little boy about passed out from it...now tell me where they dont see any intent in that

it was Bible Baptist in danville wva, i mean its getting pretty bad when you can't trust the ones you should have faith in to watch over your children,and just think there were nine other adults there and none went to his aid, now tell me whats the world coming to??????????

this is some kind of church to let a little kid get hit with a stick, by an adult, come on people what if it was our child this happen to, and this state wouldn't do nothing to help out, i mean we fought to take paddleing out of schools, were not allowed to spank our children, so what gives him the right to hit this child and get by with it? i know why he is getting by with it i was going their with my children too till all this came out, look ppl our fine judge Thompson also goes to church their, thats why this man is getting by with hurtting this little child, and its so wrong of the church, and our judge and the state, i heard his mother has done everything she knows to do and even went to the people above them in charleston, and they told her they wont do nothing, well my children wont go back their either, im not giving him a chance to hit my children too, i have seen her twin nephews slaped in the face when they went their as well, now come on people enough is enough, STOP CHILD ABUSE NOW,!!!!!!!, help her and her son protest this church, against mr gregory smith. concerend mother of 6

the bus driver got pulled over due to speeding, what kind of people are we trusting our kids with. my kids go there too and after that they changed drivers so that is why my kids still gos to that church but now im pulling them out and sending them some where else....we alll need to go down to the church and speak out in front of every one in service maybe something will be done by his chuch....

There is more to the story and all that is being said is just not true. Maybe you all should just come down to the church and see for yourself what is going on instead of saying things that you "think" you know about.

I agree with you. I have read this story on topix and have had ppl emailing it to me on myspace.

I believe there is more to this story. I have worked with children for years in the church and I know that while playing things can happen. If the authorities (who are hearing both sides) agree that nothing was done wrong, then I who and hearing one side agree with them.

It is sad when ppl take a little information and run with it ruining the lives of other people.

the people that go to that church in my eyes are Hippacrits..regardless of how the incedent happened ..it happened ..and for the person who done it should have the hell beat out of him with a stick..It makes you stop and think now days who u can you trust being around your children..I used to go to that church by the way..no offense to the good ones that go there.. but to the ones who uphold this man..your no better than he is..To the mother of the son my regards go out to you..and im on the same page you are...

one of the best churches in the state. don't judge this church for one bad incident. please respect Pastor Barker, because when you need him he'll be there for you. Also I don.t attend this church, but i know its wonderful works.

How ridiculous all of you are. If you are all so informed, start putting your names on to back up your posts. Especially you, "mother" of the alleged victim. Perhaps in the future, you would be wise to attend functions that you send your children to and not look at church people as free babysitters. No one is more responsible for the safety and well being of children than the parents. As for the judge attending that church, if any case were to come up involving that church, the case would be deferred to the Lincoln County judge.
