I'd like to know why Sara (Burgss) was still shopping there all the time with the Dempsy man working there. Isn't she suppose to be married? You'd think she'd find somewhere else to get her groceries.

I am so disappointed in the Krogers in Danville anymore. Not only do you have to bag your own groceries (when half the time they stand there and watching you, or huff and puff until you do) after spending $300.00 a trip..a few of the cashiers aren't too friendly. I know you get people like that everywhere you go & YES it is hard dealing with the public (I know this). I have been buying groceries from the Danville Krogers for 15 years because I believe in staying/buying locally.(the only good thing going for Krogers is the girls at the Deli, they are the only friendly/helpful people there) I went to the Krogers at the Ashton Place in Charleston...and it was such a pleasant experience. I will be going back soon for groceries, just hate they are 30 mins away. They not only take the groceries out of your cart to ring out, they bag your items and offer to unload as well. They are super helpful and friendly. I had FOUR people ask me if I needed anything while I was there (like certain meats cut, if I was looking for certain items, ect.) I know it is hard finding people to work, but good gosh they are losing soo much business due to the carelessness, long lines from only having 2 registers open, lack of baggers, and rude employees. Maybe it is the pay that pushes people away from applying? I don't know but I hope their service starts improving SOON. I know a lot of people who quit shopping there because of this problem.

They are truly trying their best to keep the lines from backing up, bringing up the ring tender and working more like a team. There's a few people I think they need to get rid of, due to the fact that they just seem to have a major attitude problem and don't do good as a team player.

I've noticed that some of the cashiers will help you unload your cart, if its not too busy. Sometimes the person on the register ahead of them will help every so often. I've also watched a few of them help each other out bagging, especially when the courtesy clerks are out on a carryout or clearing the lot.

Speaking of the courtesy clerks, they are working on different things with them. The one's that I have seen there, are very hard workers. Some of them just don't get the hours that I think that they deserve though.

I agree with the people of the deli being friendly. The grocery team are pretty friendly as well. I know I've heard people complain a little bit about the lack of friendliness from some of the people in the office, which some days I have to agree.

All in all, don't give up on them just yet.

They have good and bad cashiers. Just depends on the day you go.
My issue with the Kroger in Danville is that it's ridiculously cramped with a poor selection.
I've been to the Ashton Place, Teays Valley and Barboursville Krogers and they are supreme places to shop. They're all clean, the produce is fresh, you can pass someone in the aisle with room to spare, and you have a huge selection of groceries...unlike Danville's Kroger, which is the exact opposite (except that it is usually clean).
Why is it not the standard of the Kroger company to provide all of their customers, no matter where their location is, with top quality? Why is it only wealthy neighborhoods that get the premium treatment?

I don't know how someone can change their location to say whatever they want it to say. I don't knOw who the hell you are, but using the name of the place whe I just moved is pretty f'ed up. Also if you at going to try to act like where I shopped for groceries is your business at least spell my damn name right. I don't even get on this site. But someoneI know fold me my name had appears on here. This kInd of crap is part of the reason we moved nearly 600 miles away. I have been married for ten years now, and whatever needed discussed between me my husband and jack has been discussed a long time ago. And The fact that I bought groceries at Kroger?! Where else in Boone should I have bought them? I mean my god we dated whEn I was 15! No one needs or deserves shit being stirred again, not me, my famil jack. Give it a rest people. If the person who felt the need to bring up this again has anything to say they can feel free to take it up with me, not
Post it for the world to see. If you want to visit my Facebook my cell number is there feel free to send me a text and we'll figure out what your damn problem is.
