Haven't heard that. I doubt that's going to happen they would shut down some of the smaller plants they've bought before they would either of us.

Haven't heard that one. I hope they give us a little bonus like they did before Christmas last year. I won't hold my breath, but we can hope.
That little book they give us will tide us over though, lol.

Danville is the "show plant". It would be the last in the region of periodical producing plants to be shut down. Glasgow would be a more logical choice if either were to shut down, but neither one is going to happen. Besides, if they shut down and you have any time in, you will get a buy out. Don't tell me you think it is such a great place to work now?

I'd say about 1300 people work in the Danville plant. I here that we in Danville don't get paid as much as our big brothers in Glasgow... How many work in Glasgow?

They start you out at 8 something she said I just talked to her. She said she has been there for 8 yrs and she has topped out at 11.75 the only way she would make more money is if she got promoted to something like a boss but the extra hrs she would have to put in would not be worth it cause she would be on salary then.

They have a sign up sheet up now to be off for the next 2 weeks. Sort reliefs go first??? I don't understand that one. That is the one thing that seniority does is if there is a forced layoff they go from the bottom up. But there is so many people that fuss about needing money and they are the first ones to sign up to be off.

You're right that we make a liesure item but people will still buy magizines. Some smaller Donnelley plants may close but Danville is safe. BTW we do print FSI which even in a bad economy will be printed, maybe even more will be printed.

Donnelley has mad it through the great depression and many other bad economic times and they will make it through this.

Since the bad economy, coupon use is at a record high. FSI hasn't been this busy in forever.
