Danville Walmart

I've been at Walmart for years, and I have never seen it this bad. They have people begging for hours they can't get. For the most part they do have some excellent workers, and if they would get rid of the dead weight and the ones that stand around doing nothing they probably wouldn't have to cut anyone else. Employees are worried and several are leaving for other jobs, I don't think management is even liking the situation, but from what I understand it is out of their control. The higher ups are killing sales and running off good help.

Was in the Danville Walmart this morning. All I wanted was 2 small items. There were no 20 items or less registers open. I think maybe 3 registers were open all with long lines. I know they want us to use the new self check out lines but I do not like them. I guess I am a dumbass and they never work right for me. Plus I look at it as when stores use those they are taking jobs away from people who really need them. I have heard that there is a new district manager. Dont know but that is what I have heard. I would urge everyone who has had the same problems to call the district office and complain. Do it every day. Take your business elsewhere. Take it to Kroger or Food Lion. Take it to a Dollar Store or Big Lots. It will not change as long as Walmart is still making money. And Walmart is making money.

The lines for the self check out are just as bad. Mainly because people do not know how to use them. I thought that was self explanatory. I prefer to shop at Aldi but the line there can be a pain too.

We should have seen it coming. I know I did, way back when when all of the small Mom and Pop stores started closing all over town. Wal-Mart has taken over nearly every industry and has single handedly ruined our economy and caused much pain and anguish in developing countries. They hoodwinked us into believing that they would sell MADE IN THE USA products and that was never the case. In fact, at the time of that campaign, 85% of their products came from overseas and mostly from sweatshops.

http://www.pbs.org/itvs/storewars/stores3.htm...

We REALLY need to boycott Wal-Mart and Sam's Club and we need to do it in large numbers so that it will make a difference. We need to send out mass emails to everyone that we know, include links to videos like this one:

Do your part to bring this global monstrosity to an end now. While the rest of us are struggling to make ends meet, FIVE of Sam Walton's heirs are among the most wealthiest people in the world. They do not give a crap about their workers, either here or abroad, and they need to be brought to their knees. If we can get Wal-Mart to go out of business, or at least lose profit, perhaps we can help to bring back small businesses and return our manufacturing jobs back home.

This is a serious issue and unfortunately our government will do nothing to help us. We have the power of the people and we can make this work!

WalMart has been the death of many a good business and all of the old Mom & Pop businesses across the Nation. Of course, we have all helped WalMart put everyone else out of business by patronizing that place. The one thing that we have not anticipated though is the fact that WalMart is slowly dropping many name brand products to push there own generic brands of products which are inferior to the name brands.
Free enterprise in this country has been hampered by the success of WalMart. The American way of life has been partially destroyed by WalMart. It is meerly impossible to own a small business such as a grocery store, clothing store or appliance store because of WalMart. Free enterprise is almost completely dead in America

I sort of think they might be fixing to bring in all their help from China. Then their circle will be complete

Isn't that how business works? I'm pretty sure most places cut hours at some point. Some hours is better than NO hours.

yes i am sure every business does cut hours at some point. but they are doing to the point where it is affecting customers. and that is stupid. with all the money walmart makes you would think they could keep the floor and front end fully staffed. i bet the managers are not getting any kind of a pay cut. maybe they should lend a hand instead of walking around trying to look busy.
